hammerva Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I don't see much of a future for RD Evans after this match against Moose Wait RD has been wrestling since 2001? That can't be right
Web Conn Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 He wrestled in Texas and Arkansas for years before he got his break in ROH in 2010. He discusses it in his interview on Colts podcast.
hammerva Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Time Spliters vs ReDragons for ROH titles is next. They showed clips of one of their New Japan matches and it was really damn good so expect the same
Nice Guy Eddie Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 So nice to see Alex Shelley in ROH again. He's been a favorite of mine since Generation Next.
cool arrow Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Surprised to see Briscoe retain. Are they doing a tv taping tomorrow?
Chui Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Surprised to see Briscoe retain. Are they doing a tv taping tomorrow? Next TV taping is 1/3 in Nashville.
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Good show. 6 man was great. Main even was great. TV title was really good. Tag title match was great. Some really good wrestling. Glad I bought the show.
Big Fresh Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Is it true that Jay Brisco took an unprotected chair shot??? If it is, they oughtta suspend his ass. That's not the first time they've done that shit.
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 He took a shot. He also took a staple gun to the head. Don't worry though, he Manned Up both times.
NikoBaltimore Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 This is the first ROH PPV I purchased, and I liked it. I thought for a NYC crowd they were quieter than I thought, which hurt a couple matches. Going to the TV taping in Baltimore, it was a spoiler alert of sorts for me. I knew the champions would remain champion, but it didn't lessen my enjoyment of the matches. If there's anything positive to say about the chairshot to Briscoe, it was only one unlike their Ladder War. But I still could done without seeing that. Wild match, the staple gun and push pin spots were gruesome (a superkick with the pins in Jay's mouth? Damn, man) Really enjoyed the 6-man tag. Really, aside from the RD match I enjoyed them all a lot.
jstout Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 So wait, flippy guys can't beat the hell out of each other? That makes me sad. It WOULD be awesome if they had standing lariat battles between moonsaults. Good idea. Wrestling needs more hate. If I wanna get into a fight with someone I hate who has wronged me, I'm not gonna try to armdrag him. 1

They may have cribbed it from elsewhere, but that's where I first saw it.

Stay Gold Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I really enjoyed the main event and the 6man tag. Might have to re-watch the tag team championship match, because while I dug it for the most part, I thought the finishing stretch was way too long. It was a little weird that Evans got so much offense on Moose. And I like Evans. But that match should have been one-sided and a lot shorter. Good show overall though.
Dewar Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I still can't believe they broke Evans and Moose up so quickly. Seemed like having Moose work tag matches was a great way to get him more experience before a singles push.

cool arrow Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Interesting that he chose ROH over TNA. I'm guessing Sinclair had to shell out some pretty serious coin to make it happen.
nate Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Actually, probably not, if Del Rio took even a cursory glance at what TNA had become.
cool arrow Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Well, yeah, I just meant in general. I wonder if ADR charges more than, say, AJ or Hero.

Curt McGirt Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Saw about half of Young Bucks vs. Sydal and ACH last night. Never seen ACH before and he did the dopest running backflip dive over the top rope, it wasn't even a moonsault, more like he was stagediving. I wish the Bucks would've heeled it up more but they did the handshake and I was sad. Those guys are too damn pretty and flippy for them to work as faces, that gimmick is perfect for heeling.
Infinit Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I never really watched the HDNET show...but wow, the production value was so much better than it is now. Makes current ROH tv look so low rent... 1
