Pete Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Tottenham takes a brave stand against homophobia and you know where this one is going. 1
SirFozzie Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Just about as obvious as the representative who proposed the anti-SWATting bill getting SWATted herself :/
AxB Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Adam Johnson (who scored for Sunderland last Saturday) goes on trial on four counts of child grooming and molestation, pleads guilty to two of them yesterday, is fired by Sunderland and loses his Adidas sponsorship today, and is almost certain to be jailed for up to two years (much longer if he's found guilty of the ones he denied). So that's him finished. Rightly so.
Dewar Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I was wondering why Steven Taylor never plays for Newcastle anymore. took 5 minutes for him to remind me why. Fuck.
Dewar Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Nine minutes in, and I'm done with this bullshit.
ReiseReise Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Poor Holger Badstuber. Bayern's centerback is down with yet another big injury. Bayern is NOT going to win CL this year. They have some really bad luck with injuries, it will be a huge feat to even make it to the quarters.
Setsuna Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) That Leicester is escaping this game with a point is a Valentine's Day miracle! Edit : I knew I should have waited for the final 30 seconds to tick off before posting that. Damnit! Edited February 14, 2016 by Setsuna
Pete Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 "WOULD SOMEBODY STOP THE DAMN MATCH? Enough is enough!"
Death From Above Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 "WOULD SOMEBODY STOP THE DAMN MATCH? Enough is enough!" Liverpool/Villa match highlights:
Ryback Hates Bullies Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Positive goal difference! Feels good man. Yeah we should beat Villa like that, but it's good to actually do it. 38 points is probably enough for survival even if we lost the last 12 games, and it's enough right now to get us in amongst the balls for 5th/6th place.
Death From Above Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Tottenham 2 points from the summit. Unbeaten in 12 on the road. Is this real life? 1
Ryback Hates Bullies Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 But who knows now? I like Tottenham at 9/1 a lot better than I like Arsenal at 7/4, I'll say that much. And I like Tottenham at 11/4 better than 6/4 on Arsenal too.
ChesterCopperpot Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 No talk about the Messi/Suarez "penalty" at the weekend?? 2
Dewar Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I had no idea that doing that was legal. Celta should have been throwing shoulders into their tackles the rest of the game, but I assume they laid over and died, because they let in two more goals in the last 10 minutes.
ChesterCopperpot Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Johann Cruyff famously did it back in the 1970's during an Ajax game. Pires/Henry tried it (failing hilariously) in a PL game versus Man City a few years back too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l_QmTEoPdk
Death From Above Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I saw that Messi//Suarez highlight last night. Fucking amazing balls to even think about trying that.
AxB Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Apparently it was supposed to be for Neymar, but Suarez got there first. Also, Luis Suarez' nickname at Barca is 'El Gordo'. They must think he looks like Frank Lampard or something.
Mr Harms Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I saw Danny Mills say Robert Pires brought diving into English football. However untrue it might be, it's still more than Danny Mills ever contributed to English football. 2
ReiseReise Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I had no idea that doing that was legal. Celta should have been throwing shoulders into their tackles the rest of the game, but I assume they laid over and died, because they let in two more goals in the last 10 minutes. There should have been a repeat, since Suarez entered the box too early. Execution in general is okay, though, as long as the ball gets some kind of forward momentum.
Dewar Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I can't wrap my head around that being legal. It's one of those things that clearly is legal, but doesn't really fit the "spirit" of the call, if that makes any sense. I know for indoor soccer, they don't even let you play the rebound. Didn't help me any on the weekend when I stopped a penalty, and then the dude drilled the rebound at me without repercussion from the ref because "he didn't know the rule".
Death From Above Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 So much fun on tap with the Europa League today. I'm going to simul-watch Dortmund/Porto and Fiorentina/Tottenham. 1
DangerMark Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I saw Danny Mills say Robert Pires brought diving into English football. However untrue it might be, it's still more than Danny Mills ever contributed to English football. Everyone knows it was Jurgen Klinsmann. 2
Raziel Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Oooh, Europa League today, let's check the score...
Dewar Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Two wins in the same week, Gary Neville is the SAVIOUR!!!!!
