mattdangerously Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Well, they probably wouldn't be teaming up together.
Curt McGirt Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 In 1988, there was a big Free Nelson Mandela concert in London, televised worldwide, to educate the world about the evils of apartheid. Fox America televised it under the name 'Freedomfest' and removed any mention of anything political, and almost every mention of Mandela himself, from the broadcast. ...and we have further proof that Rupert Murdoch is the foulest person alive. Makes this Murdoch look like a nice guy (I don't know what is up with the beanie hahaha) 1
Curt McGirt Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Now I went down the Captain Redneck wormhole Young DiBiase looks to have gotten ahold of some of the good shit and of course 2
Bustronaut Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I always thought Teddy Jr. was adopted, but dang if Ted Sr. doesn't look just like him in that pic
Spritenaut 32 Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I always thought Teddy Jr. was adopted, but dang if Ted Sr. doesn't look just like him in that pic \ Ted Sr. was adopted (by Mike DiBiase), not Ted Jr.
Curt McGirt Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Is that Iron Mike DiBiase next to Dickie in that pic? Masa Hori's page, where I got it from, didn't say. In fact I didn't identify DiBiasi Sr. until he said who it was -- and if you don't recognize that's Jumbo Tsuruta as the fourth man. I think everyone can identify the rest, even though skinny young Barry Windham looks to be all of 17 and Dick is "imitating" Flair in the first pic EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't get the gist of the discussion you guys were having for a second there. It's likely just some random cowboy, but if anybody knows who, let us know.
sydneybrown Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Also the Anti-Apartheid movement was seen as far left craziness in the US until about 1987/1988 thanks to Reagan era propaganda. So if Vince would have run shows there he wouldn't have gotten that much flak outside of a article here and there from papers or magazines WWF fans would never read. Kinda some revisionist history there. Roddy Piper screaming "I DO play Sun City!" at the 86 Slammys was about as heelish of a remark as you could make on MTV at the time. And that was a line he used regularly for cheap heat.
Trocar Slush Weasel Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Don't think we have to worry about Finn getting an Irish Jig Dancer gimmick on the main roster:
mattdangerously Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'd be more worried about him getting a gimmick of being a huge dork. 4
Ping Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Don't think we have to worry about Finn getting an Irish Jig Dancer gimmick on the main roster: Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance ! 3
Phantom Lord Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'd be more worried about him getting a gimmick of being a huge dork. Just wait till Vince finds out he's a lego fanatic. HOWS A GUY WHO PLAYS WITH LEGOS GONNA KICK MY ASS PAL. 2
madsplash Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I feel like someone at NXT needs to just lay Vince out. Even if it was just them sucker punching a senior citizen, in Vince's mind it'd make them the baddest motherfucker in the galaxy. "That guy was tough enough to kick my ass. I want this Enzo Amore guy headlining Wrestlemania next year gah dammit!" 2
Trocar Slush Weasel Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 What in the hell is Lou Thesz wearing? (besides what looks like an attempt at a ref shirt)
Cristobal Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Jeez, I like the guy but the only caption I can come up with for that is "It sure was nice of the Cubs to let that homeless fan into the park."
cool arrow Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 What in the hell is Lou Thesz wearing? (besides what looks like an attempt at a ref shirt) The correct answer is, "Anything he damn well pleases and I dare you to tell him otherwise." 2
HumanChessgame Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Jeez, I like the guy but the only caption I can come up with for that is "It sure was nice of the Cubs to let that homeless fan into the park." I thought "The Briscoes are from Delaware, why would they be pulling for the Cubs?" 1
Nice Guy Eddie Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 What in the hell is Lou Thesz wearing? (besides what looks like an attempt at a ref shirt) The correct answer is, "Anything he damn well pleases and I dare you to tell him otherwise." I think I see sailboat in his shirt. 2
The Nature Boy Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Jeez, I like the guy but the only caption I can come up with for that is "It sure was nice of the Cubs to let that homeless fan into the park." I thought "The Briscoes are from Delaware, why would they be pulling for the Cubs?" Because fuck the Orioles
Skeeball Wizard Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 What in the hell is Lou Thesz wearing? (besides what looks like an attempt at a ref shirt) The correct answer is, "Anything he damn well pleases and I dare you to tell him otherwise."I think I see sailboat in his shirt. It's a schooner. 8
odessasteps Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Why is the mma guy's picture in the wrestling folder? 1
cool arrow Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Because MMA is the same thing as old school pro wrestling, duh.
mattdangerously Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 A schooner is a sailboat, stupidhead. Hey, why is that picture of a comic book writer in the wrestling folder? 1
