Matt D
Box office mojo is predicting $24 million on the weekend for Guardians which would bring it to around $221 with a week to catch Transformers.
S.K.o.S.
I just checked The Giver early Rotten Tomato score. Not looking good so far. Damn you, Taylor Swift. Geez, I don't know how big Meryl Streep's role in it actually is, but right now it's the worst rated Streep movie EVER.

Brian Fowler
Which isn't good, but it's not TMNT level bad or anything. I think the 9 year wait is going to do a lot more to kill business than the bad reviews. 23 year old me LOVED Sin City. 32 year old me is somewhat less enthused. (But Eva Green.....) _MJ_
Holy was I ever off with my Expendables 2 tiebreaker prediction or what? Those numbers should killed that franchise. The last four movies (Sin City, TMNT, The Giver, Expendables) released in this game's timeline are just getting ripped apart by the critics. Delicious. The Natural is in the lead, but he put the Sin City sequel reasonably high on his Rotten Tomatoes list. The bad guys still have a shot. Also, Deadspin does movie reviews now? Weird. _MJ_
Man, GotG is like two more good review away from joining Toy Story 3 and Deathly Hallows in topping both lists. Screw this happening. In my completely unbiased opinion, How To Train Your Dragon 2 needs to come through on one front this summer. These Marvel fanboys better not juke the stats. S.K.o.S.
I am still trying to figure out how I am moving up? Is everyone elses list just shitter than mine? Short answer: yes. You had the Giver and Expendables 3 pretty low on both your lists (you left Giver off your RT list), which is where they belong. Other people did not. Long answer: 6 things happened in this week's update: - Guardians moved up 3 spots on the box office list - TMNT moved up 1 spot on the box office list - Expendables 3 debuted on the box office list - Giver debuted on the box office list - Expendables 3 debuted on the RT list - Giver debuted on the RT list In this week's update, you moved ahead of The Veeg, Hoffman, DreamBroken, JRGoldman and Kevin Wilson. The Z moved ahead of you. 5 people minus 1 person = you moved up 4 spots. Last week you had 64 points. - Guardians moved up 3 spots on the box office list: +2 points - TMNT moved up 1 spot on the box office list: -2 points - Expendables 3 debuted on the box office list: +2 points - Giver debuted on the box office list: +4 points - Expendables 3 debuted on the RT list: +4 points - Giver debuted on the RT list: 0 points This week you have 74 points. Nothing huge happened with your list, no major disasters. Everyone that you passed did have some major disasters. The Veeg went from 52 points to 74 points. He had Giver at #1 on his RT list, so he got 16 points from its debut on the RT list alone. Kevin Wilson went from 63 points to 85 points. He got 10 points from the Giver RT debut and 6 points from the Expendables 3 box office debut. JRGoldman went from 60 points to 76 points. He got 9 points from the Giver RT debut. Hoffman went from 60 points to 76 points. He got 8 points from the Expendables 3 RT list debut. DreamBroken went from 48 points to 76 points. He got 8 points from the Giver box office list debut and 8 more points from the Giver RT list debut. The Z went from 66 points to 74 points. He left Giver off both his RT and box office lists, so he got 0 points for that, and had Expendables 3 low enough on both lists that it didn't give him too many points.
