At least he had the decency to how give them the cash in a Five Guys bag.   By the way it wasn't just Pruitt it was him and his wife running around with bags of $300 like the ice cream man was here

How would you be able to fit anything in a Five Guys bag with all those fries???

We're setting the over/under on heatstrokes caused by the field at: 4 1/2.

Sources are claiming still no TV deal announcement for the PAC-12 for Friday's media day.

The longer this drags on, the more likely it feels they are getting a bad deal. Either way less money than the Big XII, or way too many games stuck on streaming services that might limit their exposure even more than time slot already does.

The Mountain West has confirmed that San Diego State is still a member in good standing

The conference will release the $6.6 million in assets it was holding to the school after confusion over whether SDSU said it was leaving or not.

SDSU will remain a conference member for at least two more years

So Pruitt was just handing out cash? He wasn't systematically covering up rapes and sexual assaults? If so why is he having the book thrown at him?

I would assume Pruitt lied or failed to cooperate or something.

Fortunately, Harbaugh has a long-standing tradition of not scheduling anyone worth a damn in September, so this shouldn’t really affect anything on the field.

Much better to get it done now. Next year the first four would include Texas.

So Colorado is going to vote to jump to the Big 12 tomorrow.

I’m not sure this hurts the PAC-12 much beyond the optics, but…these are some REAL bad optics.

They've gotten outmaneuvered by Brett Yormark pretty much every step of the way.

The way the Big XII weathered losing it's two real power schools and have now positioned themselves to be the number 3 conference.

The PAC-12 desperately needs a good TV deal announcement and soon.

There's no way they're ahead of the ACC, they added BYU who's played a joke of a schedule since going Independent, Cincy and UCF are good but will be facing a bit of reality in moving up a level, Houston only got the invite because they needed a Texas school and Colorado has stunk since W Bush was president.

To be fair, Brian said “positioned to be” not necessarily “currently are.” And I would say they’re definitely positioning themselves to be #3 after the ACC finally implodes at some point in the next 10 years.

The ACC is in such a tenuous position, and they’re next moves are critical. If there’s one major lesson to be learned from the past couple of years of realignment, it’s that thinking you can just sit tight with your current members and everything’s gonna be fine is a mistake; aggressive action is the key to long-term stability.

We can definitely joke about the quality of programs the Big 12 has brought in (some of it justified, some not), but the fact of the matter is that they’ve now insulated themselves against any one realignment loss being able to totally destabilize their conference. They’re solid. And that’s something the ACC needs to think about. Because, Bubba, FSU and Clemson are G-O-N-E as soon as they get the chance. Whether they have to wait out the rest of the GOR or they finally find the loophole sooner, they gone. They have made that pretty clear over the past year. And as it stands that would totally destabilize and kill that conference. ACC gotta be thinking several moves ahead right now.

Some (take with a mine of salt) rumors that Colorado is just the first and likely will lead to the other 4 corners schools leaving for Big 12. OU and UW being the biggest fish left, how long do they hold out for a Big 10 invite?

Beat writers in AZ seem to be implying that at least one of the Arizona schools is feeling froggier now.

Poor OU and UW would obviously prefer to wait for the B1G, but if the rest of the Four Corners go, they might not have a choice but to settle for the Big 12. B1G seems pretty set on not expanding any further in the near future.

The ACC shot themselves in the foot with a rpg signing the TV deal/GOR that runs all the way through 2036 and the much less notable football brands in the Big XII are going to be bringing in vastly more revenue than the ACC. That, plus the likely feeding frenzy when either the deal finally ends or someone breaks the GOR is likely going to see the B1G and SEC swallow up the FSU/Clemson/UNC contingent of the ACC while the Big XII might by then have grabbed all the four corner schools in the PAC-12.

Things can change quickly, as we've seen, but right now the long term outlook is a hell of a lot better for the Big XII.

Kevin Warren was reportedly the biggest driving force in continued B1G expansion, so him leaving for the Bears job might have kinda boned Washington and Oregon.

Also, if the reports of a secret meeting are true, the Big XII already voted to accept them yesterday despite them not having formally applied at the time.

The PAC-12 will meet tomorrow and Kliavkoff will finally present TV numbers in a last ditch effort to save the conference, as Arizona appears to be quickly positioning themselves for an exit.

If Arizona does leave, it’ll be interesting to see what Arizona State does. They’re overseen by the same Board of Regents, so it’s very hard to imagine one being left behind in a dying conference, but ASU has deep ties to Southern California (beyond athletics) and they may not want to jeopardize that by shifting to a conference with no CA ties at all.

After Yahoo Sports floating rumors that B1G is doing diligence on bringing in Oregon, Washington, and maybe Stanford and Cal, we now get FSU Trustee meeting basically saying "we are carrying the ACC and don't want to leave but need to have it be worth our while to stay"

Lol apparently that PAC-12 meeting didn’t go well. Today has turned into An absolute shit show with no less than 4 PAC-12 schools being rumored to the B1G and FSU making rumblings like…

EDIT: this dirt was too good for Lowe and I to not post it at the same time.
