Hey guys, guess what? McGregor throwing a dolly through a bus window and injuring several fighters was horrible. Khabib fighting in the crowd and his teammates jumping McGregor was also horrible. Both incidents are allowed to be terrible black eyes on the sport. Whataboutism shouldn't even come into play here.13 points

Nothing to worry about. They are only mobs of Russians and the Irish. It's not like they're insane drunken maniacs who hold grudges for generations and who have been watching hours and hours of training videos on how to kill each other efficiently wandering the cities. If things get out of hand, we'll just release the Samoans. And if they get out of control, we can always summon Haku. Everything is under control.12 points

The UFC has no one to blame but themselves. They not only enabled McGregors behavior, but marketed the shit out of it to make $. Don’t act shocked when someone else decides to do it as well.9 points

That reminded me of the time Rob Schneider tried pulling that shit on a critic, and got absolutely bodied by Roger Ebert:7 points

That is what happens when someone who plays too much starts fucking with a bunch of dudes who don't play at all. There is nothing about Khabib, the Dagastani, or anyone who grew in the Northern Caucasus that makes me think that they'd have a sense of humor about someone playing those type of games. There were people talking about Khabib being scared of Conor, and I was listening to that and thinking, "I don't know what it would take to scare someone who grew up in a place that has been in some sort of armed conflict for most of their lives, but Conor McGregor is probably not it." I always thought that Khabib looked annoyed/disinterested in Conor's shit, but apparently, he was just pissed off.6 points

Sort of wrestling related since it involves Insane Clown Posse, but too good not to share: https://musicmayhemmagazine.com/shaggy-2-dope-of-insane-clown-posse-attempts-to-dropkick-limp-bizkit-front-man-fred-durst-on-stage/5 points

But we're dealing in the context of fighters and not fans. Fighters have the ability to defend themselves and moreover beat the living shit out of someone else. In addition, it's not like the NBA where Kevin Garnett is talking about Carmelo Anthony's wife. The worst thing that could happen is them rolling around, backing up, and eventually being held back. In the NFL you get egregious (depending on your view points about the NFL rules) hits like the ones between Vontaze Burfict and Antonio Brown and in other Steelers/Bengals games. Still that's a sport where no one is fighting like that and we even have chain snatchings between Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree. There is a good reason why dudes don't do that in MMA where anyone can catch a bad one because dudes legitimately know how to fight. It's not because most of these dudes are just good people. You don't have to worry about the streets if you don't bring the streets to you. You can talk trash and still remain somewhat professional. I'm not Russian, but I am African-American so I did feel a way about what Conor said on the Mayweather press tour. I know when folks are building up a fight. I have no problem with some of the Great White Hype build. So I expect it to wonder a little into racebaiting. However, those first two stops had stuff from McGregor that would get him stomped to sleep in any major African-American city or town. Floyd is getting the paycheck so how he feels is one thing. However, when you plant your flag in that, you gotta deal with whatever comes with that. So if someone from Floyd's crew wants to beat the everloving piss out of Conor...in the words of Chris Rock, I don't condone it but I understand. Again I'm not Russian, Chechen, or Dagestani, but I know enough to get why Zubaira Tukhugov wants to give Conor a nice going away present. You don't veer in that lane, you don't have to deal with the consequences.5 points

I haven't watched UFC in a few years but if they could guarantee me I'd get to see at least one loudmouth racist get his ass handed to him every show I would start shelling out for PPVs again.4 points

Dana White can't offer a heavy punishment to Khabib after how badly he handled all of Conor's antics.4 points

I'm not sure what was stupider, Khabib throwing his career away or the announcers calling the guy throwing furniture through car windows "honorable". What a complete and utter shitshow UFC has become. You reap what you sow. Everyone that threw a shot, especially Khabib, should be booked for assault tonight. Dana basically convincing Khabib to leave without the belt is telling me he's never seeing that thing again. If he's still champion tomorrow morning, something is seriously wrong.4 points

The top comment from that drunken fan fight Thibs posted: L O L I love this shit so much. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the Machida, respectful, traditional martial artists but Conor and his fans had this coming for years of race baiting and other slurs. I enjoy McGregor for what he is, but there are consequences for being a shithead of that magnitude. Meltzer claiming NSAC suspends Khabib for a year and he gets stripped. I fucking doubt that. He'll get 6 months tops and keep the belt. They'll use the footage to promote the inevitable rematch that Conor's already building up (and you know he doesn't really want it, he did not have that confident swagger on the way to the octagon last night... False bravado). And how did the NSAC clear Conor of any wrongdoing when they would've had all of UFC's camera angles and doubtlessly would've seen Conor throwing the first punch against Khabib's cornermen? It's all such a ludicrous joke.3 points

IMO Whether's it interim LW title #368 or stripping, all roads lead back to Khabib vs. Ferguson for the actual title linear and/or physical.3 points

I watched this since I could not sleep. Beyond Joe/AJ, this was a very uninspired show. What is the deal with New Day and the pancakes? Their gimmick gets worse every year. Could not finish main event. Felt awful for Taker and Hunter has become his fear of being a forty something overstaying his welcome. Braun breaking the triple power bomb with a spear was sweet. But I still don't care. Renee is really bad on commentary. She sounds like a lady Art Donovan. She is about as bad as Coach. Wish it was Cole and Grsves. Corey kinda sucks, but is tolerable. Cole's reputation has grown in my eyes. He can do passable commentary in that shit environment. The Iconics are not good. Their match seemed like one of those tryouts they would run in the old days. Them and Buddy are so low on the totem pole, Vince forgot to job them.3 points

I will never again make fun of WWE universe rules being absurd now that we see that all security everywhere are incapable of stopping one guy from pretend shooting when there are 20 of them in the ring with him.3 points

I think UFC has been flirting with disaster... what Connor did in New York was disgusting but I think UFC still felt that there's a certain "entertainment" aspect to Connor where all the shit he does is a studio gangsta version of thuggery. Khabib and his boys don't seem fake to me. It's not entertainment with them and tonight they showed it.3 points

Have a buddy there and apparently a bunch of people are fighting outside. Given the type of wannabe hardcases these type of shows attract, I'm going to assume it's the norm. So they do Conor/Tukhugov now right? edit: Derrick Lewis was interviewed on FS2 post-fight and was asked how he was going to celebrate, his reaction ''I'm going to throw my wifes legs into the air''. Greatest man alive.3 points

Dude, have you ever had someone squeeze your jawbone together like that? It is one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. I got my jaw squeezed by a scrawny blue belt, he was getting his jaw squeezed together by Khabib Nurmegamedov...he could have shattered his jaw. Demian Maia finished Rick Story the exact same way and blood started streaming from his face. I can't fault him from tapping from that.2 points

Of all the moves you could try to hit on someone from behind, in a situation where they didn't know it was coming, why would you go for a Dropkick? Especially if you were a big heavy guy with not much in the way of hops. Fucking Yakuza kick him or something. Dangerous Backdrop muthafukka. Bloody Dropkick idiot. Your name ain't Murphy.2 points

The Daniel Bryan/Miz finish was so flat. I liked that they went with it, but in a company where flash pins like that are extremely uncommon, and the announcers sell that they aren't even sure what happened, it just goes over like it was almost a mistake. Not the way you wanna do that kind of finish, in my opinion.2 points

Glad to help. To top it all of, that's a pretty shitty lineup. Hey, Fozzy was on the bill as well. I know somebody that went for Gwar and ended up breaking his foot in the pit. I had my Gwar experience back in 2005 when Orderus Urungus was still alive.2 points

The reporters are the ones trying to trip him up into saying something stupid about Conor and Khabib, and he just doesn't give a fuck. They want soundbites and he's giving them plugs for his 401(k). It's amazing.2 points

Here's my prediction- Going in I was surprised to see the Diaz fight announced as I thought he'd be next for Conor if he lost. Given this show, Khabib gets fined and suspended for 6 months - a year. Ferguson-Mcgregor interim title. Winner against Khabib late 2019.2 points

Sometimes you run across someone you shouldn’t have fucked with, and the McGregor camp learned that tonight.2 points

At least when the Diaz went apeshit at that Strikeforce show many years ago they kept it in the cage. My favorite thing from the night was all the Connor fans at the Hooters I was watching talking about how this proves how much of a bitch Khabib is. They should be lucky this went down or we would be talking about how badly McGregor was beaten in the fight. Dana White can pretend to be all mad and upset but you know in 3 to 5 hours he is going to be in his hotel painting the walls white in glee and happiness.2 points
