The only logical angle for Braun is to make it so Brock is obviously afraid to show up at any show because he knows Braun will IMMEDIATELY walk out and cash in right to his face. Eventually he is ordered to appear but Heyman hires hundreds of goons to keep Braun from getting to the ring. The first two hours of RAW are then a live-action remake of Streets of Rage. Then 20 minutes of Braun dribbling Heyman like a big beach ball and 40 minutes of Braun pummeling Brock while dollar amounts float out of his body.

Ronda Rousey's selling was....astounding to me given what I expected from her. From the moment of that powerbomb she genuinely looked surprised and terrified and kind of helpless. Even in her comeback she seemed unsure and there was this tension that it would go sideways at any moment. They had a narrative, that this was the first time she was feeling the power of a real "pro wrestler" "for real" and she played it perfectly. I mean in some ways it boiled down to a very typical monster vs. technician WWE match, but the story they layered over it and her acting made it a lot more dramatic. It ended up being one of the more interestng match narratives in recent memory.

@The Natural I think the ship has sailed on Sasha, Bayley and Becky unfortunately. They will be used as the glue that holds the division together and maybe they get a veteran run with the title down the road at some point but for whatever reason WWE doesn't see them as stars. I have my own beliefs as to why that is but just keeping with what you were saying, I think they are toast as far as the main event scene goes. If Charlotte's last name wasn't Flair she would probably be in the same position. Naomi will never receive a push either. Her run through Mania last year was her "good job" moment for her career. Now she settles in as a Natalya, training with the new gen. They are only pushing Nia Jax because they think it's a good PR move. The real "stars" in their eyes are Alexa and Ronda. Ronda is a legit star so I have no issue with that. But the 4 horsewomen really deserve better. I don't even think they'll do much with Ember Moon. Asuka is being positioned as a Kane or Big Show monster type. Get her hot for a couple months and then cool her off again. They are doing the same shit with the women now that they have done with the men. They have a vision and "FUCK YOU" if you disagree with it. They are still doing the Roman Reigns deal. The crowd shit on him and Jinder, didn't matter. He'll be the cornerstone of whatever the plan is for RAW tomorrow night. There's so many guys like Samoa Joe who could probably have a legit title reign and it'd be interesting but they don't want to pull the trigger on it. With these new TV deals in place the force feeding is going to continue.

The Alexa spot should have been Natalya. They have been building this "friendship" since Natalya jumped from SD (as a heel) to RAW and now was suddenly a face and "best friend" with Ronda. Seems to have obviously been set up to have Natalya turn on Ronda. Her winning the case and doing the cash in exactly how Alexa did would've been a much better story.

Who'd have thought that the worker that could put Nia over best as a classic monster heel would be Ronda fucking Rousey? I went into that match thinking I would hate it and it turned out to be one of the best matches on the card. I'm hoping they'll keep the Rousey / Jax program going on for a bit even though Alexa is now the champ for reasons I cannot even begin to fathom.

My problem with Alexa's push is that we're already coming off a pretty lengthy title reign for her. She's already at 300+ days combined in her two reigns where she's been booked super strong. Her getting the title back just makes the women's division so stale, especially when Carmella's essentially doing the same reign on Smackdown.

Ronda probably sold more in her match with Nia than Carmella has in her entire career. I still remember Carmella popping right up from Nikki Bella's forearm. Like, girl...you're a goddamn twig. Stay down.
