While it’s not confirmed the new Thunderdome location with Tropicana Field not being available in just a few weeks due to baseball season, we do know there have been talked of the Yuengling Center, formerly known as the University of South Florida Sundome, which would be available once college basketball season is over. The Amalie Arena, the other major Tampa arena is right now the home arena for the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL) and the Toronto Raptors (NBA), so that’s not possible. As noted before, flights were being purchased with a Tampa location for talent that comes in for television, so the Tampa Bay Area would have been the target. The news also was reported by Ringside News although we did know the negotiations going on by the latter part of last week

Now all that being said - unless it just because they want to maximize profit but minimizing production costs - I have a feeling that by May they are going to be taking the TV shows on the road to all the places that don't have restrictions in place.

Especially now because you know Vince doesn't wanna let Dana White get too much run as conquering hero

I'm gonna go with whatever building Dana is running next month.

The only reason I see this not happening is because Dana is running the Vystar Memorial Arena in Jacksonville and I am assuming the WWE isn't bold enough... yet... to run live shows in Jacksonville

In a town called Hope! How do you not rework the screenplay when a story about a disillusioned veteran happens to be filmed in a town called Hope!?

When I was younger, I wanted to move there, just so I could make puns based off the name.  Anyways, they've very proud of their Rambo heritage

Love that statue! I used to drive through Hope a few times a year, on my way to the interior, the Rockies, or to Alberta. I would always - always! - have to make the terrible joke a few km down the road that, "Now we are truly beyond Hope."

I know its not in Florida, but is the Mohegan Sun Arena/Casino on native land?

Yes and ironically the WWE was scheduled to have RAW there for the first time in 10 years last August (that show obviously got cancelled).

That being said - the state of CT has been trying to discourage folks from going to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods so who knows how much Vince wants to dance with the state government there

So I usually have to accept my exhaustion and try to understand that I will probably be forever tired, but maybe the next generation of trans folks won't be. Which gives me some solace, at least.

The next generation will definitely have it easier. This country has become less conservative over time, not more, and the people who are railing against the trans community are becoming less relevant with each passing day. Just look at the results from the past 8 general elections. Thirty years ago they complained about homosexuals, and they can't do that anymore so they have to turn their ire on someone. Eventually they'll turn their attention towards someone else once they've figured out they've lost the fight, but there will be even less of them by that point.

Meanwhile tickets for Wrestlemania which was supposed to go on sale tomorrow has been postponed AGAIN.   I assume that this is kind of related to the NXT COVID issue.  Either that or Vince is such a dumbass that he is trying to squeeze 40K to 50K.

If that happens it will be mostly on the back of Floridans.  Only so many lime green T shirt front row guys who will travel regardless

I wonder what % of Mania fans the last decade are international, since i presume they cant go this year.

would they actually sellout the Bucs Stadium this year if they were allowed to sell or give away  all the tickets?

I know people on Twitter who've already booked flights, hotel and tickets for Collective shows, and are super pissed off that Mania tickets aren't up yet.

I think it's more negotiating with the city how many tickets they're going to sell and the logistics of the seating.

I think you're fooling yourself if you think the WrestleMania crowd will be mainly made up of people from Florida. Wrestling fans from every state can be idiots too.

I don't know maybe me but the idea of planning a weekend out of state without tickets is dumb to me.  Unless you are green T shirt guy who either has them on lock already or makes so much money you can deal with it.

I guess it really depends on how good business is for rest of weekend shows like Collective and Wrestlecon are doing based on this delay

I think I read the on-sale date has just been moved from Wednesday to Saturday, but nothing official has been announced yet. But I'm almost positive there's a large section of fans from anything, be it things like music festivals or whatever, that start planning trips like this without tickets.

Back to something from last week..

watching a Kelly Kiniski vs Jesse Barr match from 82 mid south and bob roop on commentary was telling them to get mean and said “when a defensive lineman knocks put a qb, they give him a gold star for his helmet. Look at Hacksaw Duggan. They kicked him out of football for being too rough and that serves him well in wrestling.’’

Charlotte will star as a Tuscon cop in a Walking Tall remake on USA.

Is this the place to crack wise about who the producers really wanted before the company offered them Charlotte? Or do I need to take it down to the movie section?

No.. we can do it here probably.  i'm reminded by the story the other day about WWE having a talent agency division now and seeing as this will air on USA which is owned by NBC..  i'd guess this was pretty much an in-house thing.
