2013: UPCOMING MOVIES/CASTING/RUMORS/ETC

Man, Kit Harrington must have the worst agent. The only gigs he can get on the off season are projects like Pompeii. Seventh Son, and the Silent Hill sequel?

At this rate, we are going to get a sweet opposites attract buddy cop movie with Kit and his North American equivalent: Taylor Kitsch. If I knew how to work the internet, there would be a gif of the millions of dollars right here.

Dear Academy,

Make it easy on yourself.

Just melt down the statues you were going to hand out for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor, make one huge statue out of the molten gold, and hand it over to the cast and crew of Dallas Buyers Club at the beginning of the awards ceremony.

Respectfully Yours,

JT

Went to this one last night:

Jobs - I know it's been trashed in a lot of reviews but I liked this a lot.  Ashton Kutcher is really good as Jobs - they really nailed the look of pretty much every character in the movie other than Woz being a little iffy - and the movie itself is good.  There's a LOT of material to cover - and that's even with the movie cutting itself off at 1997, ignoring the iPod/Pixar years - and so a few things get frustratingly little coverage, like Jobs' relationship with his daughter and how he met/married his wife.  They do a good job of conveying that Jobs was an asshole but could have done even more in that area.  All in all, while I really think this should have been a miniseries to allow for more room to breathe and greater depth, I liked the movie a lot as did my wife.

I must say I'm eager to see how Aaron Sorkin's movie adaptation of the Isaacson bio turns out...

What we all missed is that Jared Leto would like his Oscar now too

The dick uploader has made it unavailable in the USA.  Here's a link to Firstshowing.net that has the Apple trailer embedded in it.

Forget Efron for a minute. Getaway, which comes out Friday, has Ethan Hawke teaming up with Selena Gomez to take down Jon "DID THE CHECK CLEAR?" Voight. Not surprisingly, it currently has 0% on Rotten Tomatoes with six reviews at the moment.

In one of the more head-scratching decisions, Brad Furman might replace Oscar Isaac (who dropped out) with JOHN LEGUIZAMO in The Ballad of Pablo Escobar.

Also, Aaron Paul and Sigourney Weaver are going to be in Ridley Scott's Exodus.

So they've finally cast that fucking 50 SHADES OF GREY movie. It's Charlie Hunnam's Terrible Accent and someone called Dakota Johnson, who I've never seen in anything (and I guess I won't see her in anything in this either *rimshot*).

You do realize that's Don Johnson's daughter?

Or Bernie Kosar when he found out his daughter did/does porn.

This is usually when I pull out a Montana Fishburne ass pimple joke, but I like Larry's work too much.

Woah, did not know that!
