In case you're looking for something romantic to watch with your beau/boo in theaters tomorrow:

SHE IS CONNAN

Yes, this is a remake of Conan the Barbarian.  Yes, it's queer.  Yes, it's awesome.

Random things

Scarlett Johansson will star in Featherwood which is categorized as "crime thriller". It will be directed by Andrea Arnold (American Honey, Big Little Lies)

Tom Cruise is "in discussion" to join the cast of The Movie Critic

Joel Kinnaman and Cara Jade Myers will star in a thriller directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky (The Counterfeiters) entitled Ice Fall

Will Cruise be Jay Sherman or Duke Phillips?

Don't make me want things I can't have Marcus.

Supposedly the titular road will be played by Paul Walter Hauser.  So, you don't know how close you may be to being correct.

New trailer for GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE

Big red ape hit big grey ape.  Am happy.

Lack of Big gray lizard saying "I'm too old for this shit".

They are doing a good job of keeping Destroyah under wraps if it is the actual final monster and not Skar King.

Cate-Blanchett-Borderlands-021924-1-0bd7

First look at Borderlands (so I have to assume a trailer is soon)

Still haven't decided what irritates me the most

  • Kevin Hart as Roland
  • Eli Roth directing
  • That (at least per the IMDB credits) Brick and Mordecai are no where to be found
  • I will still watch the fucking thing

Sam Mendes will be directing 4 biopics, one for each member of The Beatles.  They will all share casts and have interconnected stories. They're scheduled to be released in 2027.

Man, I like the Beatles and all...

Yeah I love The Beatles. I've liked more of Mendes's films than not.

I cannot find any enthusiasm for this idea at all. I guess at least I have three years to get hyped?

I almost made the “Nick Fury shows up to recruit them” but passed. 😀

David Katzenberg has been tapped to direct "Sam and Victor's Day Off," a movie about the two valets who took Cameron's father's Ferrari on a joyride in "Ferris Bueller."

I remind Paramount once again that an Abe Froman origin story about his rise to becoming Sausage King of Chicago was RIGHT THERE and would be much better than this.

Speaking of "right there" ideas, what about a film about the break-up of the Beatles? Drama, tension, pathos. Everyone wants to kill Yoko. John loses it and goes on a bender for the ages. McCartney has to start a new band. Whatever the other two do. There's a lot there, building up to John getting shot, and there you go. ONE movie, maybe throw in some flashbacks to early days... it writes itself.
