Tarheel Moneghetti Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Adam Silver probably needs to send our a memo reminding teams that the playoffs are still going on. Philadelphia and Golden State were apparently very surprised to learn that they had games this week.
Dolfan in NYC Posted May 12, 2022 Author Posted May 12, 2022 I'd personally appreciate it if he didn't send that memo until tomorrow morning.
Zimbra Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 The NBA is adding a conference finals MVP award. The east trophy will be named after Larry Bird, the west after Kareem. They're also renaming the east & west conference championships after Bob Cousy and Oscar Robertson respectively.

Greggulator Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 There are still a ton of Sixers fans who are Hinkie Truthers who believe He Who Started The Process Could Do No Wrong. Sixers had a 23-year-old Jrue Holiday they traded for a draft pick that became Nerlens Noel. Bangs head repeatedly...

Greggulator Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Very rarely do you get to see a team literally quit in a playoff game. Got to see that tonight!
Rocco Posted May 13, 2022 Posted May 13, 2022 Doc Rivers is by far the most overrated coach I can think of in recent memory. I've said this in the past and every year he just keeps adding to it. 1

I hope by now people realize that Doc has been banking on that 08 ring for almost 15 years now, and only got that one because he had 3 hall of famers at the peak of their powers. 1
SirFozzie Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 (edited) So, the Celtics-Bucks game 7 will be on sunday at 3:30 PM. I half-expect the old CBS NBA opening and "You are looking LIVE at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts". Just like Dominique and Larry, Giannis and Jayson Tatum are going to go for it. Hell of a series so far. edit: I can make that comparison because I saw Dominique and Larry in Game 7. My parents had dragged me to a Air National Guard/AirForce airshow, which I wanted NOTHING to do with, thankfully, one of the buildings had a TV with half the air show watching Game 7. Brian Fowler Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Well, can't complain about getting two Game 7s and no short series.
RandomAct Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Personally happy that the Celtics won, because if Milwaukee had won, Mavs-PHX would have been at 3:30 on Sunday, and I would be at work.

SirFozzie Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Here was the opening to that game 7, two days short of 35 years ago. Celtics won that game. Hopefully history repeats itself
RandomAct Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Tony Brothers reffing tonight. Adam Silver making sure Luka is gone lol
Brian Fowler Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 It's early and he'll almost certainly not keep this pace, but Giannis is putting up all the numbers so far. 10-8-6 and we still have over a minute left in the first quarter
Brian Fowler Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Welp, not giving Giannis more help in game six will likely haunt the Bucks all summer. That and thinking about the what if with Middleton.
Contentious C Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) They say, "Don't let the stars beat you" as common defensive knowledge, but how is it better when Grant Williams beats you? Edited May 15, 2022 by Contentious C 1
