Technico Support
The most interesting thing to me about the Observer show over the weekend where Dave talked about the NBC Sports deal wasn't "NHL to USA and what that means for NXT." It was his general explanation of how NBCUniversal has done away with individual networks managing themselves, instead opting for centralized management. This means there's no more "USA management" team only concerned with keeping USA looking good. So not only is there less drive to keep NXT on Wednesdays to make their investment look strong by driving AEW's ratings down, but, more importantly, I feel like WWE is no longer the powerful big fish in USA's small pond. Now they're just one program in all of NBCUniversal's portfolio. Maybe this hurts their negotiating power when it's time to re-up. Casey
I can't find a specific company, but a Variety article notes that the people who designed the infrastructure/technology of the Now TV streaming service for Sky in the UK are the same ones who did Peacock. It sounds like it's an in-house thing now, and not a company from the outside.

I don't know, with this deal NBCU has 2 billion invested in WWE for the next 5 or so years. That's a pretty serious commitment.
Eivion
Well this was weird and interesting news to wake up to. I guess I will be saving money. So far I have only used Peacock to watch the second Psych movie. Maybe I will explore it more after this.
赤い竜
May have to wait awhile for stocks to go way up, or after the next conference. Right now it upwards of 54 again instead of the 40's.

NikoBaltimore
I will admit that it is a great value if you care for the stuff Peacock has. I signed up earlier and checked and there's maybe a couple things but unfortunately not much there that I can't find elsewhere. We'll see what they have by March but unless that ends up being my only way to watch G4 then I think I'm good without the network.
Craig H
I signed up to Peacock to watch the Saved by the Bell reboot pilot, which was really, really bad. I deleted the app from Roku and haven't thought about it again since. The only things that would get me to sign back up again were if NXT were moved solely back to the Network, if the PPVs didn't completely suck, and if the build to them didn't suck. SmackDown is alright, but Raw is just plain awful. ECW getting actual music back would also be nice, but that's never going to happen. A big part of ECW for me was the music and hearing the laughably bad, soft core porn music they use for music makes ECW look so terrible. Other than that, I more than got my fix of older WWE and WCW stuff. I don't have much of an interest in re-watching that stuff again and I'm more into watching older NJPW at this point until I get my fill of that. Maybe if WWE put up independent content on the Network then that would be something of a selling point, but I even think that ship has sailed for me now.

RIPPA
I keep forgetting that because I have Xfinity I think I get Peacock for free (at least the version with ads) Anyway - quote from Nick Khan Quote Khan also said WWE is happy with their Fox deal with multiple years left, so nothing has changed there. He later told SBJ's John Ourand they are done doing deals in the U.S. "for a while" and that this is a multi-year deal that extends past their current TV contracts with NBCU and Fox. He said they spoke to several media companies about a deal but WWE's thirty-year relationship with NBC made a difference. It really does come across as when they started looking to put the PPVs on another streaming service that they learned that places probably just wanted the whole thing
赤い竜
Several WWE news: NXT is expected to stay on Wednesday and on USA network. WWE expects record results for 2020. Peacock/WWE network Amazon deal is still ongoing. And ESPN is done with WWE. Edited January 25, 2021 by D.Z

Bloodsport? One show a year? Are you saying the 24 hr GCW show at the weekend is having a Bloodsport section and he's coming over to work that? There's a lot of insane shit going on right now between market makers and Wall Street Bets, etc. FWIW WWE Stock is up 14.27% on the year.

Phantom Lord
Has Peacock ever done any live streaming events? The Network at best can be iffy depending on what you use it on, so I'd be most concerned with whether they can handle streaming live PPV's. odessasteps
Given the current popularity of wrestling, id presume the PPV viewership would be less than they get for some EPL matches.

Yes - Peacock streams the aforementioned EPL (English Premiere League) games I also think they show (but am not sure) - NHL, NASCAR and even golf
