Godfrey Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 I was pretty sceptical of this venture when they first started but I’m stoked for the top 3 matches now and I’m excited to see what they present. WWE is so stale now these guys have a good opportunity to break out but they have to look big time.

Web Conn Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 WWE is gonna be there on the 9th and 10th of September. That AAA show is on the 15th. The New War has begun dude.
Niners Fan in CT Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 Hopefully Darby Allin has a showcase on this. 1
Custos Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 So the 7 matches announced plus entrances would presumably be a solid three hours, with the top three singles matches all getting decent time. That seems like a sweet spot to me - quality over quantity. I wonder if they throw in an unannounced show opener a la Matt Cross / MJF from All In?
Web Conn Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Tracy Smothers vs a bear. That's how i'd open the show. Probably explains why i'm not a booker. 4 3

Tracy in his confederate gear getting mauled by a bear would be the perfect opener for the more progressive AEW audience. There's something strange about the match however. Despite not having thumbs, the bear is able to grasp and is quite proficient using chairs, tables, barbed-wire baseball bats, etc. Then, a masked man jumps out of the crowd with a leash, collar, and gimp mask. The bear becomes docile as the man enters the ring. The man puts the collar around the bear's neck, connects it to the leash, and puts the gimp mask on the bear's head. If you think who's on the roster they've not announced, there's Allin, Jimmy Havoc, Jungle Boy, Allie... Bea Priestly, but they went out of their way to say she wouldn't be on until the Jacksonville show.

Niners Fan in CT Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 They need to show these dudes picking their numbers on Road to Double or Nothing. I hate that WWE did away with that. 3 1
