For the record, the InVasion PPV was all kinds of awesome. Everything that followed (outside of RVD) was shit, but that initial PPV was the tits.

I think your forgetting the breakout hit that was The Hurricane. Helms was over huge in the late summer/fall of 2001. Now that was a lot of fun.

WCW folding killed Helms momentum though, because he was massively over in WCW by the end... he was going to be a bust out star for WCW if they stayed open, and he had to start from scratch as Greg Helms in WWF.

Masters does not get credit for improving as early as he did. Every week he got a little bit better. Working with guys like Tajiri, Val Venis and Stevie (after he came back), by 06 he was a good hand. He had a real passion and work ethic about him too. It is what separates him from guys like Carlito.

Master was EXCELLENT by the time he was let go on his last run, it was a really odd move. People must have thought he was a dick backstage or something.

I remember he was really over as Sugar Shane Helms at the end of WCW. The Vertebreaker was over with the crowd and he had kickass theme music.

Yeah but you can't have two Shane's. That's just confusing.

But having Steve Austin, Steve Blackman, and Stevie Richards at the same time is fine.  (Which of course is why Steven Regal became William Regal.)

Call me crazy, I always thought Carlito was awesome. Even with him giving 50% it was more entertaining than half the roster. His facial expressions alone were enough to keep watching.

I mean a few years into his run.

WCW was churning out some epic theme songs towards the end with Helms and Skipper.

There are many things WCW did well, theme music is not one of them.

*Except for NWO, Sting, Horsemen, Goldberg... but that's it.

Bunkhouse Buck, Arn Anderson, Hollywood Blondes, and Ricky Steamboat too.

The Blondes theme was so good they used it for what seemed like a million guys.

When Ric Flair rocked back up at the Slammy's in some random bit, then did a couple of more random bits... that was odd looking back at it. He should go back o being HHH's lacky or something.

WCW had some really strong themes, and the other were awful. There was no middle ground. It was generic crap like "Basketball Highlights" music, or something awesome like the NWO theme.

Lance Storm, Harlem Heat, Three Count, Rey Jr, Eddy Guerrero, some others had great themes.
