Ace Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 If it starts in England at 6:20 or 7:20, they can do Live "pregame show" on BBCA beforeit starts and one of those annoying post game shows (probably hosted by Hardwick) and make a 90 minute BBC show into a 2 hour block. I think Hardwick's done with BBCA. His nightly show on Comedy Central starts in a week or 2.
Control Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Watched season one (of the new version) and most of season two. So far, my favourite episodes are "Dalek" and "The Girl in the Fireplace."
Travis Sheldon Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Watched season one (of the new version) and most of season two. So far, my favourite episodes are "Dalek" and "The Girl in the Fireplace." I never would have thought a grown man could cry over a Dalek, but I heard that happened. Once. The Girl in the Fireplace is another tearjerker. I think that's the thing I hated most about RTD's run, the overuse of tearjerkers.
odessasteps Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 @classicdw: 9 #missingepisodes of The Web of Fear and The Enemy of the World recovered! Full story on #doctorwho.tv: http://t.co/SMHorvBVsa
Bustronaut Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Here's hoping I can transcode them to play on my TV. Stupid iTunes exclusive bullshit
Control Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 So did Doctor Who classic ever do one-off episodes, or are they all serials?
odessasteps Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 There were a couple 2 episode shorts. Black Orchid being one. You could argue An unearthly child is a one shot, followed by the cavemen episodes. And arguably the five doctors is one big 90 minute episode.
Bustronaut Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 The Feast of Steven as well. What's everyone think of the newly found stories? I like them, but other apparently do not. I was shocked by how well Enemy of the World was done, haven't gotten through Web of Fear yet
Johnny Sorrow Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 New anniversary trailerhttp://youtu.be/7hRy2N2CMhQ Holy shit, that gave me goosebumps.
cool arrow Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Is that the one they showed at the San Diego Comic Con?
Territorial Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 New anniversary trailerhttp://youtu.be/7hRy2N2CMhQ Holy shit, that gave me goosebumps. Same. And i'm not even much of a DW fan. Also, a mod needs to alter board settings so that Big McLargehuge never changes his sig. Good lord, that is greatness.
Ligerbusa Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I've got my ticket for a 3D screening of the anniversary. Hyped! 1

odessasteps Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 Didnt realize until today that IDW's license is ending after this year. Wonder if BBC will take it in-house
cool arrow Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I apologize for changing my sig, but honestly, you'd better get used to that.
Leonidas Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I'm seeing Day of the Doctor in 3D at local cinema, broadcasts same time as on TV, taking my 8 year old cousin who is ~hyped!
cool arrow Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I hate you all. That's not true. I envy you all. Anywho, may I present the following, without comment:
Matt D Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 The tickets went on sale when the wife was just in the hospital so I didn't jump on them for the kid at all.
odessasteps Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 Not even doctor who would get me in a 3D cinema
