He was figuring out what the abbreviations on the scoreboard meant, he was super into chanting "Let's Go Rockies ", and in the bottom of the 8th Rockies were down 3-0 and had the bases loaded with two outs and a man at bat. The place was exploding and he was completely engulfed in the energy , cheering like crazy. And then the batter grounded out and my nephew learned what baseball is all about. And this kid, who lives in a nice small town, has no fear of big crowds, walking through the city at night through traffic, or any other people. He was skipping through the dark walk back to the side street dump of a lot we parked in. FF two months to Johnny's report on how his nephew is now a "semi-professional caller" to sports-blab AM-550 and has a blog where he keeps a running tab on how much each strikeout is costing him in stadium tax-dollars but is "kind of a big deal" selling tips on the draft kings forums. 3
Ryan Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 How you know Pirates' pitcher Tyler Glasnow isn't on the juice and is a hip hop fan. He also has a fading ODB face tattoo on the bottom of his foot.

Ryan Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 They seem to have them for every team. If anything less than 100% of the proceeds is donated to legitimate charities, someone should be shot, not killed, just in the foot a few times.
Ryan Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 The eight year old who sewed this for 4 cents I'm sure is happy someone is buying it as he struggles to eat this week.
Ryan Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 What about Piers 1 through 5? Is this an accurate take? Quote Well, so much for a quiet afternoon of Memorial Day baseball. Giants reliever Hunter Strickland drills Bryce Harper in the hip -- clearly on purpose and probably because Harper hit two home runs off him in the 2014 playoffs. Harper charged, the two exchanged punches -- both nailing each other in the face -- and we're going to get some suspensions. Mostly, however, it was a gutless, bush-league pitch from Strickland. Jiji Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Going back to 2014, it's been pretty clear Hunter Strickland has emotional problems that he needs help with. He was shoving Pence in the face pretty hard trying to stay on the field as they had to physically remove him from the diamond. But he throws fast and is a man's man or something.
Ryan Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Harper should have went up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek, pointed and laughed at him and walked away. Strickland "Propane" may have ignited. 1
RIPPA Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 Interesting little conversation on Twitter between Brandon McCarthy, CJ Nowitski and Dallas Braden regarding Buster Posey not moving a muscle to stop Harper A) They didn't recall ever seeing that before and B.) it was either premeditated or Buster was tired of Strickland's shit
Josh Mann Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 If you look closely, Bryce's working punch is hilariously awful. 1
RIPPA Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 Mike Trout to the DL for the first time Torn Ligament in his thumb If he has surgery word is he won't be back till August
Craig H Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Looks like Bryce was carrying his left a little low. That's going to hurt him in the later rounds. 3
RIPPA Posted May 30, 2017 Author Posted May 30, 2017 Trout officially needs surgery - timetable is 6-8 weeks
RIPPA Posted May 30, 2017 Author Posted May 30, 2017 And speaking of 6-8 weeks - that is how long the Royals Danny Duffy is out too
Lawful Metal Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Astros down 8-2 to the Twins score 11 in the 8th inning! Best record in baseball!

BobbyWhioux Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 I do recall Salvy Perez goldbricking in the same situation last year so a hobbling Manny Machado would have plenty of time to get to the mound and DDT the late Yordano Ventura. I imagine this is the catcher way of telling the other team the guy is going rogue/trying to nip the bud of retaliation before it starts.
dogwelder Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Harper suspended 4 games. Strickland suspended 6 games.
RIPPA Posted May 30, 2017 Author Posted May 30, 2017 Buster probably also didn't want to get concussed again. Especially with Shark running around spearing his own teammates
