ROYAL RUMBLE 2016 POST SHOW

Did anyone else love Rusev not giving up that monitor? Like he was looting the announce table to send equipment back to Bulgarian National TV service.

I saw that and wondered why WWE still uses CRT monitors.

1) They hurt more when Orton lands on the corner of one

2) You saw what happened to Dean when they tried to upgrade to the newer more explosive LCDs.

Me & my pals were hypothesizing that was was going to use it to hook up some scramblevision Cinemax Bulgarian porno.

I was hoping for a Joe appearance especially after they debuted Styles.

Don't hope. Hope leads to pain, pain leads to suffering, and suffering leads to not being able to choke a bitch when Gregg tells you how great whatever this is leading up to is going to be.

I don't hand out likes easily.  You deserve it *clap clap clapclapclap*.

Apparently they are super, super durable and have better picture than what it would cost to get newer flat screens of the same size.

I'll say this: how great was Sasha tonight? Stomping Becky. Making Charlotte switch the belt into her other hand for the BFF hand thing. The reverse strut and wooing at Flair.

It's like she never debuted months ago and did nothing for half a year.

The Rumble was a good comedy, especially the end.

All of that talent flushed right down the drain so the son-in-law gets to stroke his ego just a bit more.

They could have put the belt on a half-dozen people and it would have worked going into WM but now you have the same void at the top of the card.

The perfect way to sum up the Royal Rumble

Yeah but the Orton point about super super durable is kind of a negative when it comes to putting them in places people regularly land on and/or fall through.

It really seems like Sasha vs. Ric is a can't miss angle.  I wonder how long before they fuck it up by having, like the Bellas join in?

Depends on how that marriage talk with Cena goes.

Now imagine it with this guy in Sasha's corner at Mania to counter Flair.

Three straight Rumbles where I walk away unsatisfied. They're actually managing to bury the best gimmick in wrestling.

I do not like WWE.

Thing is they must sit around every year like "Well, once again it seems like we're in a situation where no one is going to be happy with the Rumble outcome.  If only there was like one thing we could magically change...one person whose role we could change and it would somehow let us work our way out of this.  Bah...wishful thinking.  Nothing in life is simple like that.  It's just a weird string of luck.  I'll never understand crowds.  Hey, Roman, ready for Mania!"

On a show in Colorado or Washington, have them have a drinking-slash-smoking contest.

glad to see Stro broke his 14 year non-viewing streak so he could come in this thread and tell everyone he "told us so" while we rightfully argue about the validity of Triple H winning the title over multiple other people. Come on, dude. Brock, Ambrose or Bray could have won, and they'd still have the Reigns/HHH grudge match for 'Mania. There was NO reason for that ending, besides ego stroking and another title reign. And getting closer to the top of the list for most eliminations, all time (if he isn't already).

I say all of this while enjoying Triple H as a worker, too.

Good Lord did Brock club the shit out of Strowman.

Strowman was so damn clumsy during their first exchange, I think Brock got pissed and started laying it in three-quarters legit. Some of those knees in the corner were vile. It was tremendous.

There hasn't been a genuinely well booked and paced Rumble in like...over a decade. The Rumble got berried a long time ago. Whenever Pat Patterson clearly wasn't involved anymore, they went to shit and have yet to recover.

Uh...what? That wasn't me, bruv.   There was a pretty big reason for HHH winning, which is Roman vs HHH has been simmering since before the Shield breakup, and it would mean even more in the main event at WM for the title. It's very, very basic booking. Anyone thinking Dean Ambrose was going to be headlining WM over HHH is a dumb dumb. People know HHH. HHH is still probably the best performer WWE has. And he's going to have a huge match against Roman for the title in the only thing that has been built at all for WM so far. So, that's a few reasons. Lol at the idea that HHH was worried about another title and the fucking all time elimination title.

2010 was excellent from top to bottom. So I disagree with that statement.

Weird. I watched 2010 yesterday or Friday and thought it was hot trash after Punk was eliminated. So many losers. HBK was the only guy with a story in it. And it was so short. I don't think it was even 50 minutes.

Whoever booked this one was on the money, even the entrants were placed properly. It's just the ending that spoiled it. But like someone else said, there's a lot of other good shit going on in WWE right now to where you can ignore the title scene completely and it's still an awesome product (more or less).

Charlotte vs Becky vs Sasha in the semi-main/bathroom break Divas match at 'Mania will be awesome, and probably the best Divas match at 'Mania since... what, Mickie/Trish?

EDIT: Big LOL at the idea of a wrestler that has political clout not caring about his own legacy. Which means, y'know, being in the "history books" for title reigns and most eliminations. But, hey, whatever. And you didn't say you stopped watching WWE in 2002 or something? I seem to remember a thread where you specifically said that.
