Death From Above Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 David Moyes would have got a draw out of that game at least. 1
Jiji Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I hear he's available. Fun game though. United had some chances but not nearly as many as they should have had.
sabremike Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Andres Villa-Boas was shown on the video board of the Nets game as a celebrity. That qualifies as the most random thing ever. 1
Mr Harms Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 The mighty Gunners go top and it's up to Leicester City to batter some scrubs tomorrow. Giroud scores again, he's on form. A couple of highlights from Graeme Souness. Firstly, when told Ozil has twice as many assists as anyone else this season, he replies "yeah but he's a number ten, he's supposed to do that" And "Graeme, will villa turn to jack grealish here?" "Who?"
Jiji Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Such a weird time for top flight English football. The decline of the great teams makes any match competitive but also means English sides will (and have) strugggle(d) in Europe. The disgusting TV money should fix the latter issue without hopefully ruining the former. Every weekend has at least two surprising results. Today alone produced a pair of oddities. I'm guessing the schedulers predicted tomorrow's game would have a title contender matched up with a team in a relegation battle though, so that much hasn't changed. 1
Death From Above Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 First time I've been genuinely mad at Tottenham in a while. Fucking Newcastle. Fuck. 1
Death From Above Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I think I love Ayoze Perez. He's a great young player, definitely someone they should try and hang onto as long as possible. I wouldn't be surprised if a club the next rung up the ladder comes swooping in for him during the offseason though.
sabremike Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Vamos Tigres, campeones de Appetura Liga MX! Think this is their first title in 40 years.
odessasteps Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Oh, Arsenal. CL draw Ghent v Wolfsburg Roma v Real Madrid Paris Saint-Germain v Chelsea Arsenal v Barcelona Juventus v Bayern Munich PSV Eindhoven v Atletico Madrid Benfica v Zenit St Petersburg Dynamo Kyiv v Manchester City
AxB Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Suddenly it looks like they should have done the job last week and dropped into the Europa with ManU and Spurs. 1
odessasteps Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 At least they wont take barca for granted, like Monaco. Plus, might be better to lose early in CL and concentrate on the league.
AxB Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Yeah, but the co-effecient. A deep run by an Italian team in either European contest, and a couple of English teams going out this round, and suddenly there's only three CL spots in the Prem. And as Arsenal don't tend to finish top 2, they really rely on the 4th spot existing.
odessasteps Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 The funny thing is that england have marginally increased their lead over italy this season so far. http://www.espnfc.co.uk/uefa-champions-league/story/2617221/could-the-premier-league-lose-a-champions-league-place
Pete Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Kiev's home tie against City will take place "behind closed doors" due to UEFA sanctions. And if you believe that one, I have some lovely oceanfront property in Kansas you might take a shine to. 1
Mr Harms Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 There goes that euphoria from going top. Mertesacker can handle Messi, Suarez and Neymar, right? 1
cubbymark Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Arsenal will fall into line, losing in the first knockout stage. Now if only they could get into the Europa League...
Death From Above Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Tottenham/Fiorentina in Europa League is both a great match up I look forward to and infuriating because that's not exactly the easiest draw on the table.
Mr Harms Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I think Man Utd should be CM Punk because they're not fucking in it anymore. 1
Death From Above Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 It's actually entertaining so that can't be. Chelsea are so slow it beggars belief. They're playing like a mid-table Brazil league side without the excuse of playing under scorching heat.
