The decline of the great teams makes any match competitive but also means English sides will (and have) strugggle(d) in Europe. The disgusting TV money should fix the latter issue without hopefully ruining the former. Every weekend has at least two surprising results. Today alone produced a pair of oddities. A deep run by an Italian team in either European contest, and a couple of English teams going out this round, and suddenly there's only three CL spots in the Prem.
