TheVileOne
Would a person who knows very little about Daredevil or comics in general enjoy this show?? You guys have me interested in giving this a go. I would say yes. It goes at everything basically from a very fresh perspective. It's essentially Daredevil: Year One.
Casey
I've never read a Daredevil comic in my life and I love this show.
Buy Me a Burrito
Did anyone notice that The logo on the heroin packets is the same dragon that is tattooed on Iron Fist's chest ?
Big Fresh
I've never read a Daredevil comic in my life and I love this show. I'm glad you're enjoying the show. But you gotta start reading some Daredevil, brother!
TheVileOne
Did anyone notice that The logo on the heroin packets is the same dragon that is tattooed on Iron Fist's chest ? It's Steel Serpent's tattoo, not Iron Fist's. Iron Fist's is of a dragon with wings.
elizium
Quite the opposite, I thought Foggy was fantastic. I just wannnnnna punch him. And hold him down and take some clippers to that mop. Other than that, all the thumbs up!
TheVileOne
He's not as annoying as Cisco and Felicity Smoak.
Niners Fan in CT
I can't read any posts in here until I'm done but I'm through six episodes right now and I'm amazed at how well everything clicks so soon. I was also not expecting it to be THIS violent. Holy shit. Such a run ride so far.
EVA
I thought the 6th episode was the first one that didn't totally click the way it was supposed to. That's the quasi-"bottle episode" with DD and the Russian surrounded in the abandoned building. I think it really lacked the sense of urgency it needed to be what they were going for. All the stuff with DD and the Russian felt like it was happening in a black hole where time moved more slowly than everything outside. Not to say it was bad or anything, but I think 24 did this same type of episode much better at least a half dozen times during its run.
TheVileOne
Apparent Bullseye reference cameo: In episode 6, the sniper had a playing card in his bag. People are saying this is apparently meant to bullseye.
EVA
Would be a pretty lousy introduction for Bullseye to have his first shot miss.
steve
There was a playing card in the medkit when young Matt stitched up his dad, too. I have no idea how that fits in with Bullseye, though.
J.H.
Well we got glimpses of Gladiator and a passing reference to Elektra, I hope they sewing seeds... though man II pray for Angar and Stiltman as well James
Victator
Absorbing Man makes sense from the perspective that there is never going to be another Hulk movie. It doesn't make sense to squeeze in Absorbing Man to one of the Avengers films. Absorbing Man is a Thor villain. He would be ideal or the Masters Of Evil. Though Marvel seems to have screwed up on introducing Zemo.
TheVileOne
If we ever get Masters of Evil it will either have to be on TV or in like phase 4.

Johnny Sorrow
Wait, holy shit. So Rosario Dawson is basically Night Nurse That's awesome.
(BP)
Wai Ching Ho, the actress who plays Gao, is really wonderful. It took me some digging to find out who she was because oddly she's not listed on the show's IMDB. Pretty much everyone crushes it, terrific ensemble. J.H.
If "My homeland is considerably farther away" isn't a big hint for Iron Fist, I don't know what is! James
TheVileOne
I guess that explains how an old lady was able beat Daredevil with just a punch. EDIT: Here is another reference. When Claire calls Matt "Mike" it is a reference to when Matt posed as his evil twin brother...Mike Murdock.
Ligerbusa
I'm a few episodes in and really enjoying it. But I will say that it certainly feels like a 45 minute show (or longer). When he's not busting heads, it feels like another weird Law & Order spinoff.
TheVileOne
Another interesting reference, connection: Going by this scene in the comics, the guy Stick visits in the epilogue for episode 7 is Stone of the Chaste.
Big Fresh
I laughed out loud when Claire called him "Mike" because I did know where it came from. The one directly above this post though? Had no idea. Thanks, VileOne.
HumanChessgame
Would a person who knows very little about Daredevil or comics in general enjoy this show?? You guys have me interested in giving this a go. I've never read the comic and know some general stuff about the character through reading other discussions and comic geek friends, and I've enjoyed it so far (just finished episode 3). The fight choreography for this show has been spectacular, Episode 2 had some straight up Oldboy shit going on. Possibly dumb question - Daredevil exists in the same universe as the Avengers and all those other characters who have access to otherworldly technology and can do pretty much anything in terms of scientific procedures. At any point in his character's run has someone offered him a procedure to restore his sight, or would that cut down on his other abilities?
