RIPPA
On the flip side of the 10000 wins thing from a couple of weeks ago - the Cubs become the 3rd club to lose 10,000 games. Pirates will most likely become the 4th later this season

Joe Lucia
Nothing's confirmed yet, but it's a ligament sprain. Ligament sprain = partial tear.

Tabe
In case you weren't looking: Mike Trout has kinda regressed back to "normal human" status this year. Just 4 steals, average is down to .270, OBP is down to .354, and he's on pace to strike out 200+ times.
Cristobal
He's on pace for 9.8 WAR, vs the last two years of 10.0 and 10.4.

Tabe
He's on pace for 9.8 WAR, vs the last two years of 10.0 and 10.4. Without getting into a long discussion on how massively flawed I think WAR is, the point was that his offensive numbers are, other than homers, down pretty significantly compared to the last two years. Batting average 53 points lower than last year, OBP 78 points lower, SLG 44 points lower, OPS+ 35 points lower, on pace for 70 more Ks, 30 fewer walks, 20 fewer steals, etc. Speaking of WAR, Trout actually had a negative dWAR last year. Given all the raves about his defense, I'm not sure how that's even possible.
Joe Lucia
Because defensive metrics are still in their early stages and a three season sample is generally needed to make a more reasoned conclusion. Also, the increase in shifting across the league to an absurd degree is throwing those metrics into even more chaos.
