Victator Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 There's always the one on here to defend Koko by saying he was a bad-ass in Memphis. And I'll be the one: Shows you know what you are talking about. Koko kicked ass in Memphis was really good in the WWF and an act from the 80s boom people have affection for. Page was a top act when WCW at its height, he deserves it too.
Brian Fowler Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Page won three world titles in WCW, carried fucking Goldberg to a borderline great match, and was all around excellent. Of course he deserves it. 1
Niners Fan in CT Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 So it's official. The WWE Hall of Fame is more accurate than the WON. Kurt Angle but no Sting. lolz 1
Victator Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 So it's official. The WWE Hall of Fame is more accurate than the WON. Kurt Angle but no Sting. lolz Of course it is, the WWE Hall does not give Colt Cabana a vote. 3
odessasteps Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Chris Adams Con: salacious life and especially death Pro: presumably inducted by Steve Austin and/or Adams' daughter who Austin raised
TheVileOne Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 DDP deserves an entry. He was one of WCW's top guys and a main eventer when they were at one of their highest period. IMHO, that counts for something. He was a homegrown star who eventually turned face and became a major star for the company. Did his run in WWE suck? Yes, but he still did time in WWE and he held titles there as well. Kerry Von Erich didn't have much of a run in WWE, and he was basically jobbed out before he left. Did he deserve a HOF Induction? Sting's HOF is overdue if anything. To continue arguing over whether he deserved it or not is insane. You needn't have main evented WrestleMania to justify a WWE Hall of Fame induction.
RIPPA Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I love how every year we have to go through the excerise of people being all THEY AREN'T WORTHY OF THE WWE HALL OF FAME!!! The WWE puts in whoever the fuck they want. There is no "worthiness" 8
Niners Fan in CT Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 DDP also had that awesome match with Goldberg at Halloween Havoc where I would say at worst the crowd was 50/50. DDP was hot in that era. I mean Kimberly must have thought so.
Raziel Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I think we should start a Twitter campaign to open a Referee's Wing. First inductee, Tommy Young.
Trocar Slush Weasel Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Speculation on the 2016 HoF class: Sting The Freebirds Vader Owen Hart DDP Honky Tonk Man Lemmy I keep waiting for Cindy Lauper to go in as the Celebrity, and this year could've been her year, but with Lemmy just passing away, I think he goes in this year. Here was my guess back in August: Sting, Undertaker, Freebirds, Giant Baba, Owen Hart, Lou Thesz, Andy Kaufman, Miss Elizabeth.
Trocar Slush Weasel Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Way too many dead people Are you counting Undertaker? 2
RIPPA Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Way too many dead people Are you counting Undertaker? No but that would amuse me if they kept holding him out under their "only 1 dead person" rule But yeah - your list had 7
Trocar Slush Weasel Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 No but that would amuse me if they kept holding him out under their "only 1 dead person" rule But yeah - your list had 7 So, it's one dead person, one woman, one "international" star, one celebrity, one old-timer and then the rest reasonably recent?
AxB Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Wouldn't it be funny if they gave the Warrior award to John Cena for all his Make-a-Wish deals? I mean, they're giving it to the CEO of Susan G Komen at some point, that's obvious. Maybe even this year.
Brian Fowler Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 No but that would amuse me if they kept holding him out under their "only 1 dead person" rule But yeah - your list had 7 So, it's one dead person, one woman, one "international" star, one celebrity, one old-timer and then the rest reasonably recent? Pretty much.
ARMDRAGON Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Jacqueline could work if she's not still contracted with TNA.
Cristobal Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Even by diva standards, I'm not sure Jacqueline makes the cut.
HumanChessgame Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Given Liger's appearance on the NXT show a while back, he gets my pick for international inductee. 1
Brian Fowler Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Cyndi Lauper could fill celeb and diva by herself...
RIPPA Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I wouldn't be shocked if Brock had it written into his contract that Sable gets inducted one year
nofuture Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I can see Vickie Guerrero getting the Diva's HOF spot, especially it being in Texas.
cubbymark Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I think we should start a Twitter campaign to open a Referee's Wing. First inductee, Tommy Young. If not him, my vote would be for Charles "L'il Naitch " Robinson.
