dorfus malorfus Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Forgive me if I somehow missed it but had anybody pointed out that Sammy G was publicly destroying an Eddie Kingston action figure on his social media yesterday? I take it that means they've buried the hatchet to some degree and are ready to proceed with a worked fight. 2

I think the vlog stuff ends up in the Youtube thread, but I'm not sure it was mentioned there either.
sabremike Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Not gonna spoil it but if you are one of those people who skip Rampage you really shouldn't this week. 1

Yuta is I guess Hughie. Mox is Butcher. Lame as these two mentions may be, but Claudio is Frenchie and Danielson is Kimiko. And then Regal is, uh, Grace? Shame we never got to see them go up against Cody-lander 1

Jiji Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Snagged four tickets for the Seattle Dynamite. I wonder if Rampage is in Vancouver, Tacoma, Portland, or somewhere else? 7

Doragon Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Some kinda ref storyline going on says Meltzer. Maybe Ref Paul Tuner is secretly evil. https://www.wrestlinginc.com/1021278/tony-khan-acknowledges-aew-official-has-been-missing-illegalities-in-matches/ Either that above or changes to the reffering system are coming.

Those first few raps where so awkward I thought that the gimmick was that he was supposed to be a bad rapper
MKERyan Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 Quote Malakai Black is not the only person contacted by WWE recently to ask for their release from AEW. Following All Out earlier this month, reportssurfaced that Black had received a conditional release from the company. On Friday, our own Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Black was not the only person to ask for their release from AEW around this time. "What we do know is that Black was one of the people WWE reached out to even though he had signed a five-year deal with AEW," Meltzer wrote. "When Paul Levesque took over from Vince McMahon, WWE contacted a number of former WWE talents that were working there that either had left on their own or that Vince McMahon had fired. Black was not the only person to ask for his release at the time." Other wrestlers who were also contacted informed AEW management that a member of WWE Talent Relations had reached out to them. This led to AEW's head of legal, Megha Parekh, writing a letter threatening WWE for contract interference. Tony Khan announced this news to the AEW roster at a talent meeting last month. Black's release from AEW is believed to include a non-compete period that allows him to work shows but not for WWE. Best guesses? Miro, Andrade El Idolo, Samoa Joe, Buddy Matthews, FTR

I'm a little nervous about trying to wrangle her wheelchair at the show but it's worth it to see live wrestling for the first time in 20+ years. Welp, just tried to buy tickets and there are no accessible seats on the seat map at all so I guess this isn't happening. 4
Jiji Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 Lmao, if FTR asked for their releases after being highlighted so much this past year... Miro and Andrade I would not be surprised by. Tony clearly has His Guys he trusts and believes in and Andrade is not one of them. Why isn't Rampage the Andrade and Miro show? Is Miro even in the battle royale? Wtf is going on here with those two? And no I will not stop banging that drum. Two of the most talented guys in the world afterthoughts. Buddy does nothing for me so I'd be fine if he walked. Joe's been doing work on Twisted Metal. Read that very recently Saraya hadn't been cleared. If she still hasn't why sign her when women who can wrestle barely get any tv time as is? So many mind boggling decisions the past year that aren't being corrected like they were in the first 2 years. 3

I think FTR are guys that likely never would’ve left WWE in the first place had Hunter been in charge. Plus sure they’ve been “featured”, but have only held the belts for two months almost two years ago. Can’t imagine they’re happy with that. I would put Joe and to a lesser extent Matthews on that category as well. Agree 100% on both Miro and Andrade. Two guys that should absolutely be in the mix with Mox, Danielson, Hangman, etc.

Dax is consistently highlighted on television in marquee singles matches. How long would a sufficient aew tag title run be? Not even the young bucks get featured like this when they aren't in the title hunt. I'm over ftr by a long shot. Nobody is a bigger mark for them than themselves. Let them go wrestle the Usos 100 times over the next two years and be 10 time tag champs. 1
