RIPPA
I enjoy that none of the Military Bowls (including the First Responder bowl) have a Military school playing in them
hammerva
So they couldn't just call it the Kelloggs Sun Bowl they had to specifically mention Tony the Tiger? I hope a decent number of players in the Cure Bowl get the flu
Craig H
This is maybe the worst slate of bowl game names ever. Also, two weeks ago we figured ND would be playing in the Camping World bowl game against Iowa State. Glad I could check that today and see that was indeed the case. When you look at all of these bowl game names, surely there's hope for a DVDVR Bowl at some point.
Raziel
I'm sure at this point we could pitch in and the the DVDVR Survival Tobita Bowl as a low major.
hammerva
If we did a DVDVR Bowl I am guessing that West Texas State is automatically qualified Edited December 9, 2019 by hammerva

Dolfan in NYC
Oh, and if you didn't hear about it. D3 had their own Egg Bowl-like situation. But much more insane. Spoiler Wheaton scores a FAT GUY TOUCHDOWN to tie with time almost expiring in their playoff game against St. John's (MN) to pull within 1. The lineman spikes the ball, which in D3 is a no-no. The unsportsmanlike pushes the PAT back 15 yards. And of course, Wheaton misses. BUT!!!! SJU roughed the kicker. AND Wheaton had 12 men on the field. Those offset. Re-kick. And of course... Wheaton misses again. Video here:

hammerva
Creating a bowl for a product that is basically obsolete thanks to subscription services sounds about right. I mean I just call it the Blockbuster Bowl Is there even a California State?
EVA
Kind of? Schools like Fresno, San Diego, and San Jose are part of the Cal State University system. But Berkeley is part of the University of California system, which is, confusingly, something else all together.

supremebve
Really good read about Steve McNair, who is quite possibly the best college quarterback of all time. https://www.bannersociety.com/2019/12/11/20861263/steve-mcnair-college-heisman-alcorn-state

sabremike
Interesting idea I thought of: remember how there was a minor bowl game called the International Bowl held in Canada several years back? They should bring it back with a unique twist: the game will be played on a CFL field under CFL rules.
