RIPPA
First Purge still has no RT score and it is out tonight Granted it is a holiday week and people could be lazy in writing their reviews. Still take that for whatever it is
J.T.
Urgh. I have The First Purge in the middle of both of my lists. The last two weren't that bad and their RT rankings were in the mid 50% range. If there are new reviews out now, it probably sucks and this will be the movie that burns my ballot. Even if it does come in at around 55-ish%, I have it way too high on my RT ballot. It is without question an absolute disaster for a Star Wars film, but the question for the competition is...how many films on this list top $80 mil opening weekend? So, 6 weeks later... Ant-Man and the Wasp didn't quite get there. $76m opening weekend, compared to Solo's $84.4m.
RIPPA
There is the slightest of slight chances that Mission Impossible could break $80 million (I mean it would be way higher than any of the previous films openings) It has no competition at all and I don't think the second week of Equalizer 2 or Mamma Mia is gonna take away from it. And it's the last "blockbuster" franchise of this summer
gatling
This is my first year participating and I don't really understand the scoring, but I'm guessing having Solo too high on my BO list is where most of my points are from? Well that and thinking Overboard would end up ahead of Life of the Party on the RT list but behind Action Park on the BO list.

Yes, you have more points from Solo on your BO list than anything else. I did a quick breakdown of the scoring for your box office list in the spoiler to help you understand. Your box office list, ignoring movies that haven't premiered yet: 1 Infinity War 2 Solo 3 Incredibles 2 4 Jurassic World 2 5 Deadpool 2 6 Ant-Man & Wasp 7 Ocean's 8 8 Life of the Party 9 Action Point 10 Overboard Actual box office list, ignoring movies that haven't premiered yet and that you omitted (Superfly, Sicario 2, First Purge): 1 Infinity War 2 Incredibles 2 3 Jurassic World 2 4 Deadpool 2 5 Solo 6 Ocean's 8 7 Ant-Man & Wasp 8 Life of the Party 9 Overboard 10 Action Point So you get 3 points from Solo (you ranked it 2nd when it's actually 5th), and 1 each from Incredibles 2 (you had it 3rd and it's 2nd), Jurassic World (you had it 4th and it's 3rd...), Deadpool 2, Ant-Man & Wasp, Ocean's 8, Action Point and Overboard, for a total of 10 points.
