2018 Summer Blockbuster Movie Pool

Recommended Posts

46% of reviewers have no soul, I shouldn't be surprised.

I guess they took some of those reviews down because I only see 4 and 3 of them are fresh.

Ah good my gamble that it would duplicate the results of Finding Neverland is paying off at least.

At 67% now with 17 reviews. Top critics are 5-2 for it but even one of the fresh reviews has a pretty tepid summary. It looks like it's going to come down to how reviewers fall on middling stuff being fresh or rotten.

I do want the @S.K.o.S. on how Christopher Robin's RT score hurt or helped everyone's list

Of course - the Meg will probably get great reviews and I am boned

Christopher Robin will open to the tune of about $25 million

Mamma Mia has a chance to hit $100 million at the end of its 4 weeks

E2 will get just past $80 million

Skyscraper (which I wrote as the more appropriate Skyscrapper first) looks like, for the purposes of this contest will, finish at $64.5 million)

Disney is really something.  MCU is reliable.  Pixar is awesome.  Star Wars is dreadful (though prior to Solo reviewers were still pretending everything was cool).  Other live action shit is very hit or miss.  I didn't see an avenue where Christopher Robin finished below 88% on RT but here we are.  It's lucky to be fresh.  And it did jack shit at the box office,  it'll be lucky to do Peter Rabbit numbers.

Speaking of crap - The Meg is out this week and I need it to be lower than 20%

God - I do not trust critics anymore to do me a second solid

I went all in with Christopher Robin at 1 in the RT portion, so nobody is going to pass me for last place. . . . .

I think I also had it at 1 or 2 for RT.  I did not expect this to be a giant Pooh.

I couldn’t get a feel on Christopher Robin so I left it off of both lists. Only smart thing I did.

Fuck...  The entire standings list will flip once Christopher Robin debuts on the RT rankings list at Number 10 and doesn't get any higher.

Movies are stupid.

Movie critics are elitists idiots..

Poor SorceressKnight.

It would not be a Summer Blockbuster Movie Pool if he did not regain possession of the cellar.

Well, it's been a fun ride.  Will be interesting to see how bad things get once Christopher Robin hits next week.  #3 on my RT list is going to hurt a lot.
