I dunno Tabe, The Sound of Music is a minefield for watching on mute, even if you forget she's a nun, there's the chance "the hills will be alive" right when a swastika pops up on screen.

BWAHAHAHA.  So true.

Incidentally, I'm almost done with season 2 of Friday Night Lights and it has been pretty entertaining.  Yeah, the murder storyline was stupid but in general it's been very good.  The scenes where the opposing coach gets jacked up Taylor and later lays out Riggins were both pretty great, if a tad over-the-top.

Yeah, I'll never understand people's tendency to throw the baby out with the bathwater so to speak. S2 of FNL is definitely the weakest of the series but it's still better than most series' high points and there's still a lot of really good stuff beyond the admittedly idiotic Landry murder plot. Buddy and Santiago, Riggins and Street in Mexico, the Mud Bowl, pretty much anything with Saracen...  It's not a wasted season by any stretch.

I notice the same issue when people downgrade S2 of 24 because of the Kim vs Mountain Lion plot. Yeah, that was epically stupid but almost everything else that season was fucking great. I mean, that was the season that gave us two of the most iconic Jack Bauer moments ever: "I'm gonna need a hack saw" and "shoot him again" (Jack Bauer Parenting 101). Again, not the best season but better than most series' highs.

RIP That show that was on after Breaking Bad but wasn't nearly as good.

Small Town Security is still around and even got a second season. That's incredible.

Anyway, the Greek/vaguely ethnic female detective on LWS was kinda good looking to me and the least forced character. She was the highlight of that confusing piece of shit.

Catching up on Sleepy Hollow.

Don't care about Orlando Jones' custody storyline at all.

We need more of Ichabod's befuddled reaction to modern life. He could go another rant about high food taxes or try to learn to use Wikipedia.

Katrina Crane reminds me of a Lost character in the sense that she's always vague, never gives straight answers and refuses to reveal vital info that the other characters could really use, for seemingly no other reason than the plot demands it.

Not to mention, what has she actually been doing for 200 hundred years? Just wandering around purgatory? Doesn't she get bored? Why hasn't she gone crazy? There are so many perplexing things about this character.

I actually really like The Blacklist. Spader's great in it.

It's great to see him playing a role like this again.  It's been awhile since The Practice and the first part of Boston Legal where he was deadly serious.  Before it became obsessed with Shatner being a buffoon and bringing on stars from another era.

God 24 was a terrible show.

SHIT

OPINIONS

If hating right wing torture porn is wrong, then I'll gladly be wrong.

Yet you like Cap, who as well know is a Cheney wet dream.

You are still wrong about this. You can't even produce one good argument to support it beyond "Durr the flag." Give it up.

Cap was a poor New Yorker in the 1940's. Odds are pretty strong given that demo and time period that he would have socialist leanings.

Except that's never how he has been written. Really his only consistent trait has been nationalism that borders on a fervor. Even in modern times, it has been exceedingly rare for Cap to turn his back on the government despite them withholding information and generally fucking with him.

Yeah this is pretty much my feelings on the show too. Orlando Jones' storyline seems like something they threw in to pad out a few minutes of each show when they could just as easily fill it with Ichabod going shopping in a Costco, learning to drive a car, etc. I'm surprised they haven't had a reaction shot of him finding out people live to be 70-80 years old now (wasn't the average lifespan around the revolutionary war considerably less?)

Just finished Orphan Black.  Great finale.  Just so impressed.  Really looking forward to next season.

Alison watching Ainsley die a la Walter White was way darker than I could expect from anything involving Alison.  And I'm not 100% sure Helena is dead.  I could see her having Kira's super healing power and coming back.  So many possibilities with this show.

Just a masterful performance.  Each Clone had a distinct look, distinct personality, distinct mannerisms.  Everything made sense.  Can't ask for more than that.
