Dolfan in NYC Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Hey it's September and the Euro & South American leagues are getting going. Also qualifiers for Russia '18 begin!
Roman Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Belgium's getting its ass kicked again! Woooo! And the Belgian fans show their true colours again: Belgium is being outclassed by Spain, so they start booing and jeering. Some things never change.
Jiji Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 And the Netherlands are losing to Greece at home. At least Wijnaldum scored (an ugly goal).
sabremike Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 With todays victory over the Caps Metro has now beaten every MLS team (including defunct ones) at least once.
Cristobal Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Megan Rapinoe kneels during national anthem as nod to Kaepernick
ChesterCopperpot Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 That was a tough 1st game for the blue team in the Glasgow derby today - a real thumping 1
Roman Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Yeah, it was a mistake by Bravo, but I'll be damned if that wasn't a beautiful strike from Ibrahimovic.
Pete Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 What a match that was. I'll take those 3 points, thankyouverymuch.
ReiseReise Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Barca losing at home to Alaves is going to be one of the seasons upset results. 100 % sure of that.

sabremike Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 The only thing preventing me from going to RBA and choking Jesse Marsch until the shit came squirting out his nostrils is that the Bengals managed to balance out my mood by doing something I've waited 29 years for: win with me in attendance.
Pete Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Absolute monsoon conditions in Manchester tonight. City/BMG may be delayed/postponed by the looks of things.
cubbymark Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Messi took out the Barça loss to Alaves on poor Celtic. I'm sure the Ibrox supporters are quite happy tonight.

If it was raining there anything like it was here, monsoon is selling it short. It was like one of those super heavy showers that last five minutes and then the sky runs out of water... only it lasted for an hour and a half.
sabremike Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 FC Dallas is about to win the Open Cup over the Revs. They were actually the first MLS team to win the trophy back in 1997 (first year MLS teams were in it). Correction: they weren't the first to win the cup as the league took part in the tournament in 96 (which the scum won).
Death From Above Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Honestly of the 6 goals Barcelona got probably 5 of them were highlight reel. Neymar has grown so much. I wondered at one point if his ego and Messi's would be compatible but they seem to have an incredible understanding now. A real master/protege. This is damning with very faint praise, but the 10% of the game Celtic actually had the ball they honestly weren't half bad. Actually got some shots, created a couple rushes. They were willing to at least challenge Barca's central defense and force them to make choices. Any hope of a competitive game died with the missed penalty though. If I was a manager and you took a short run up on a penalty, it would be the last you took for me that season. I just don't get it. It's Barcelona. I've seen worse. I mean, Arsenal didn't even have a first half shot today. Celtic were always supposed to die horribly.
ChesterCopperpot Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 It's a beautiful game sometimes. 1
Roman Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 What a beautiful goal by Henderson. And any time Courtois has to turn around is a happy time as far as I'm concerned. 1
Death From Above Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 That Jordan Henderson goal was as good as it gets. If you picked the ball up and put it in the top corner with your hands you couldn't place it any better. 1
Roman Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 The Mourinho Magic (and the Millions Magic) has worn off already, it seems. Quite funny. 1
