Niners Fan in CT
Dory had monster previews of over 9 million and it's opening day is looking like it could be over 50 million. It should clear $130M for the weekend and I could see it have softer drops than Civil War. We may have a contest...

Skeeball Wizard
Central Intelligence is way better than I would have anticipated, it's not a great movie but it sure is fun. Rock and Kevin Hart have great chemistry. Man, I'm gonna get nauseous if I keep flying around the list like this.
Elsalvajeloco
The sequel/remake summer bloodletting continues as the Independence Day: Resurgence (budgeted at $165m) is probably going to make $50m opening weekend. With the not-so-stellar reviews, it will most likely nosedive in the following weeks.

Death From Above
Interesting that so much of the movie going public seems to finally have turned on sequelmania. Of course, with films already in the can/entering production, nothing will actually change for 2-3 years.
Kevin Wilson
The numbers this summer have been fascinating, movie-goers appear to have gotten tired of the 'summer blockbuster' movement at least for this year (defining that as people rushing to see big heavily promoted movies), even beyond just sequels not doing well. I'm not saying people aren't going to the movies as for the year the numbers are solid but something feels different this year. It could just be a one year thing and people aren't connecting as much with the movies released so far, but my predictions have been way off
