We Dem Boyz Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Messi is good but LOL at Argentina as world number 1
Cristobal Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Landon Donovan says we have "started to get into a dangerous area," by which I assume he means "on the pitch with Argentina." 1

piranesi Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Landon Donovan just said of the USA performing well overall in the tournament "they can hang their heads high." look out, Michael Cole!

odessasteps Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Its not Belgium or France or Germany. Might as well be Argentina.
sabremike Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 The Colombian fans are doing the "puto" chant. Ugh! I hope Chile puts 7 past them.
Cristobal Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Seeing a bunch of "Why did we play Wondo" posts around in my FB feed/elsewhere. There was no combination of 11 American players, including the three out on cards, that were going to make that game remotely competitive. 4th place is as good as could possibly be hoped for, never mind expected.. Everything else is playing with house money.
RIPPA Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Tim Howard starting tonight to reward him "for his fantastic support of Brad Guzan" Sure...

Everything else is playing with house money. While that was more than likely true, why not use the last two matches to get Pulisic and Nagbe more national team experience instead of throwing the likes of Wondo and Beckerman out there to state at Messi as he gleefully skips right past them for another goal? Also, it's probably past time to put Bradley out to pasture, as well. Dude's been a turnover machine since Brazil two years ago.
odessasteps Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 @jhickman A 9v9 second half with 12 goals. Game abandoned when Messi gets his seventh goal and ascends to godhood.
APO Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 If this ref sends someone off during extra time, he's gonna have to go into witness protection, right?

odessasteps Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Apparently, Messi is retiring from international competition.
Josh Mann Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 If you happen to be the Argentinian Skip Bayless, today might be your Christmas. 1
ReiseReise Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Additionally to Messi I heard Mascherano and Agüero are retiring from international matches. And there are talks about Higuain, Lavezzi and even di Maria. That's quite a lot of quality players.

Guest Edwin Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I don't know why Tata Martino choose Higuaín over Dybala... Heck I don't know how Dyabala didn't make his squad at all. I know he's lined up for the Olympics, but still, he should've been on the Copa América squad over the Olympics squad.
