odessasteps 13,917
Mongo was on flair's show this week.
lovchunky 55
Mongo seems like a decent possibility for the celebrity wing of the HOF, especially if Flair gets in Triple H's ear. Wrestlemania is also in his home state this year.
odessasteps 13,917
Jeff Katz is on one of the MLW shows today discussing the kickstarter thing.
DTTW 278
Jeff Katz is on one of the MLW shows today discussing the kickstarter thing. That's going to be a dozy. "Here's how I scammed people out of 40 grand before everyone else figured out how."
Jingus 544
A bit over $100,000 actually. Dave Prazak was posting about that just yesterday. To anyone who listened to the show, does Katz have any real defense for "I funded an entire successful Kickstarter and then basically told all my donors to go fuck themselves"? I know he's offered some feeble excuses in the past about losing his money to crooked investments (why was he investing money which was earmarked for production?) and being depressed (which separates him from every other promoter in wrestling, how?), but none of that explains why he's had FOUR YEARS to edit his raw footage into a show and simply refuses to do so. mattdangerously 6,932
I kind of feel like if someone says, "Gimme some money so I can start a wrestling promotion," and you say, "okay," then you're at least partly to blame for losing your money if the whole thing turns out to be a scam. Technico Support 9,969
Regarding the MLW shows: is there still a way to download them from the site or is it now streaming-only? I don't see any "right-click, save as" type links, just Libsyn players.
odessasteps 13,917
I still get them in my podcast feed.

Don't they have safeguards in place to prevent this kind of fraud?
BrianS81177 3,691
Are there any Ross Reports from the past few months where JR doesn't do his usual "Heels don't act like heels", "The death of the territories ruined wrestling" schtick?

At this point, I'd settle for one without his Jim Barnett impression.
BEN! 1,968
Flair's Mongo podcast is fun, baby. "Type 2 Diabeetus." "DIABETES! You can't drink? Tell me you can still drink!" Flair's so ridiculous.
DTTW 278
A bit over $100,000 actually. Dave Prazak was posting about that just yesterday. Despite the fact the filmed it with entirely the wrong type of cameras (long story short, film cameras aren't good for live action), and I offered to edit the entire thing for FREE and they were like "nah it's cool", I'm still really mad about it personally. Jingus 544
Wait, they literally shot it on film? Like, 35mm cellulose-based Kodak-bought filmstock in Panavision cameras? What kind of complete fucking moron would do that with a wrestling show?!
sydneybrown 2,344
Didn't someone post one of the leaked matches here? The way it was shot and edited made it almost completely unwatchable.
BurningBeard 4,316
This Mongo podcast is all kinds of fun. He's hilarious, bet he was a hoot to hang around in WCW
Rev Ray 4,656
I don't think bix has plugged it here but the last two Episodes of the 605 podcast have had stories involving incidents with Mario galento and Jack donovan and Jerry Jarrett/Tojo/Fargo that have been fascinating. This week also has Beau James talking a bit about East Tennessee.
MADCAP 1,547
I suddenly have the urge to hear Mongo do Steve Austin's podcast in the future, just see if they have heat over Debra, or to trade stories.
MORELOCK 3,141
Austin can't/won't discuss Debra.
Charlie M. 1,849
Learned from the Jericho pod that Vince doesn't know what RoboCop is. Also, when he ran promo class he told Sheamus and Wade that "you're both dogs, make me want to see you fight" and Wade started barking.
BurningBeard 4,316
Cracked up at Sheamus' comment off the back of that
MADCAP 1,547
What a moral condundrum: Austin announced on his podcast today that he was coming to my city next month for the Great American Outdoor Show. I would really like to get a pic with him, but I'm opposed to the GAOS because it's been sponsored by the NRA. There's some real peckerwoods in this part of the state(We're not known as Pennsyltucky for nothing), and I'm trying to rationalize in my head hanging out at that place, standing around a bunch of gun-toting yahoos. Yechhhh.........
mattdangerously 6,932
Do it. Austin doesn't do a lot of meet and greets.
