odessasteps
She is so great (and pretty) in John Ford's Fort Apache, a former dvdvdmc selection.
Matt D
We saw Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer a week or two ago. It just boggles my mind that her career never took back off around then. It seems like Hollywood just didn't know how to use her.
LethalStriker
Wasn't aware that she was still around, when was the last time she had a screen credit.
Swift
Goddamnit! I've been working on a script for years, where she was going to play me in my life story. This fucking hurts so hard.

Bear Wyatt
Nevermind, apparently that was a fake Shirley Temple. Edited February 11, 2014 by Dibs
Charlie M.
I was more of a Roy Rogers fan as a kid. Seriously, though, I was embarrassingly old before I realized Shirley Temple and Roy Rogers were famous for something else.
Kyle Casey
RIP, the original child star (or would that be Our Gang?).
caley
We saw Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer a week or two ago. It just boggles my mind that her career never took back off around then. It seems like Hollywood just didn't know how to use her. Yeah, often times child stars grow up to be...weird-looking and bad actors. But, she was so good (and still pretty!) in that and the aforementioned 'Fort Apache', that it's just baffling she didn't do really much of anything else. FTR, IMDB lists her as having 4 more movies after 'Apache' in the next year, then nothing until the series 'Shirley Temple's Storybook' and an appearance on 'The Red Skelton Show' in the 60s and that was it. JMFabiano
I hope Adult Swim plays her DVD collection commercial every break in her honor! Oh wait, they do that already? Seriously, RIP to a true legend. These past years we've been losing a lot of those...

Gonzo
We saw Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer a week or two ago. It just boggles my mind that her career never took back off around then. It seems like Hollywood just didn't know how to use her. So creative had nothing for her? Before today, I had no idea that she had served as ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia. That's pretty cool.
Matt D
My gut is that a lot of us wouldn't agree with her politics but I do think it might have been interesting if she won her Congress bid.
Burgundy LaRue
With so many child stars falling apart in front of our eyes, it's impressive that Temple retired from acting at 22 and went on to accomplish so much in another career. RIP.
T.Rex-n-effeckx
RIP, the original child star (or would that be Our Gang?). Baby Peggy is still alive and her career ran at least twelve years before Temple's.

driver
She might have not been active after her divorce from John Agar(whom she met at 15 and married at 17) because she was busy with her new marriage to Black and was busy raising a family. Her daughter. Lori, was the bass player in The Melvins.
