And had a few clutch drives to win games. And he would've won the 2 Trubisky games. Maybe I'm an optimist. Draft another stud for the O-line this year, and if Kenny doesn't work out, there is really good protection for whoever is the starter in 2025. Cause he did SO much for Desmond Ridder. . . 1
Brian Fowler Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 Wilson played a lot better this past season that the first year in Denver. Assuming the asking price isn't too steep, I could see him helping the Steelers a fair amount if the goal is to avoid a full teardown and rebuild.
Lawful Metal Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 WHAT CJ Stroud with a competent running game = league fucked Probably why this is not going to happen or we sign him for bookoo dollars and he gets hurt immediately
Cobra Commander Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 The Chiefs have signed Matt Araiza as it's possible the incumbent punter (Tommy Townsend) is departing for more money. Araiza and the accuser wrapped up their lawsuits 2 months ago with a mutual agreement to not admit wrongdoing or pay anybody. But Araiza can still sue the attorney of his accuser.

Dolfan in NYC Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Miami's going to release Emanuel Ogbah. This will save them $13.7m against the cap. EDIT -- Also Xavien Howard will be cut with Post 6/1 designation. That's per Omar Kelly, so... extreme bushels of salt.
Kevin Wilson Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Will Dak become the first NFL player to average $60 mil or higher per year on a contract?
Dolfan in NYC Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Cincinnati has announced they are Franchising WR Tee Higgins.
Lawful Metal Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Also Xavien Howard allegedly has interest in playing for Houston since he’s from here. Allegedly.
Kevin Wilson Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 Going to be an interesting off season for RB. Barkley, Jacobs, Henry, Pollard, and Ekeler all free agents and none look likely to be tagged. Feel bad for Pollard and Ekeler, its tough being a late 20s/early 30s running back as it is but getting FA the same time as the other three is rough. Especially since RB value has been going down anyway, they may end up with a one year/10 mil deal or something. If the Bills didn't already invest in Cook I'd love to get Ekeler for a cheap-ish deal, was always a fan of his (although he did drop a bit last year).

Dolfan in NYC Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 Jonnu Smith is getting cut by Atlanta
RIPPA Posted February 28, 2024 Author Posted February 28, 2024 I am not dragging the other thread up since its like 3 pages back now so... First - FedEx is remaining a sponsor of other things with the team Second - Apparently FedEx made the decision when the team was sold Third - in very broad strokes, the Founder of FedEx was a minority owner of the team who got screwed by Daniel Snyder
RIPPA Posted February 28, 2024 Author Posted February 28, 2024 KC will be releasing Marquez Valdes-Scantling, It will save them $12 million
Tabe Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 The NFLPA has released their annual player survey of franchises. KC ranked near the bottom overall in player satisfaction. Complaints included that they are given stools instead of chairs in the locker room. The Raiders ranked dead last in coaching (surveys taken before Josh McDaniels was fired). The Patriots - yes, Bill Belichick - ranked next to last. Players felt Bill wasted their time and didn't listen to the locker room. And, as usual, teams are salty over the results. Fact is, though, the surveys get results. Jacksonville was trashed last year by players, mainly because of rats(!) in the locker area. They ranked 5th this year.

Most of the Pittsburgh sports media is blaming Pitt for the Steelers low score, even though the Stillers lowest grades have nothing to do with the practice facility. Players over the years though have said the Pitt side of the building is a lot more up to date and plush compared to the Steelers side, that's not on Pitt that's on Art Rooney II.
RIPPA Posted February 29, 2024 Author Posted February 29, 2024 There is a growing sense that the NFL owners will adopt a version of the XFL kickoff prior to the start of the season (either at the meetings in a few weeks or at the meetings in May) Troy Vincent said on PFT Live that he believes they will get the 24 votes needed For those who have never seen it
hammerva Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 More proof in how dumb the combine is: apparently Tom Brady ran a faster 40 this year than the year he was drafted. Unless he has been hanging out with Frank Thomas and Doug Fiutie recently, something is fishy
Kevin Wilson Posted March 1, 2024 Posted March 1, 2024 The funny part is the UFL is not using the XFL kick off method but is going back to a more traditional version. No idea why, I think the XFL method both cuts down on injuries and is interesting/encouraged returns. 1
