Obviously you need to start your own dirt sheet.

With blackjack! And hookers! In fact, forget the dirt sheet and blackjack!

Ah, screw the whole thing.

Natural, you know I love you, bud, and I might get on your "get fucked" list along with Hulk Hogan after I type this, but always remember: The English invented the language, but Americans perfected it.

Also, stop stealing all the "u"s and pronounce your "r"s, dammit!

One of my favorite (favourite?) parts of watching the Great British Baking Show is when one of the bakers inevitably mutters "I've forgotten my maths" as they're trying to measure out something.

I love you too so you'll never be on THAT list, bud.

You got favourite right the second time and lol. It's funny the differences between our two countries. One I still struggle with even though I've been a DVDVR MB member since September 2005 is day/month/year over here whereas it's month/day/year where you are.

Day/ Month/ Year makes sense. Shortest / Longer / Longest. The Japanese format, Year/ Month/ Day, that also makes sense. Longest/ Shorter / Shortest. Month/ Day/ Year, that's just silly.

Month/Day/Year sorts amounts of each value from smallest to largest (no more than 12 months, no more than 31 days, limitless amount of years supposing we do not see the heat death of the universe).

Yeah, about that last one…

as someone who is prone to over-organizing things, i mostly keep lists in the Year/Month/Day format, because it is WAY easier to sort. i kinda hate that we don't use that system altogether.

It's the ISO format for that very reason.

The full article does say that no one knows what "double" means as the exact TV deal they are under now is not known as they kept adding to it with new shows and what not. Plus the unknown with Max, PPVs, backlog, ROH.... there are so many variables and these leaks really aren't terribly helpful beyond confirming both sides are still talking and seem set on getting a deal done.

Khan was interviewed today and for the interview he was wearing a Max hat (the streaming service, not the wrestler). TK using hats instead of his words is kinda funny, he is enjoying this way too much.

Ha, I just saw that and was coming to post it. Mans is just trolling us now, and I'm way here for it.

If only he was wearing a The Maxx hat. We could get an AEW comic book!

Tony Khan:

Asked about why Dynamite didn’t air live in the UK last night or if there was an effort to do so, Khan said it’s illegal for him to do that due to his WBD rights and that WBD pays 97% of their TV revenue. He also said Triller has had some issues in the stream of the show in the past. In the future, he would like to simulcast on ITV if possible it even if it was late in the UK. They have obstacles to get there however.

Getting caught up on my reading from the weekend, and if I didn't think that WBD was a bad TV partner before, I sure do now.

https://deadline.com/2024/08/nba-says-warner-bros-discovery-lack-cash-tv-rights-lawsuit-1236049637/

Relevant quote from the article:

Quote

In a late night motion for dismissal to be argued in person in New York state court on October 4, just under three weeks before the 79th NBA regular season tip offs, the NBA made it clear it is not playing games. To put it simply, the gist of the league’s argument is: Sorry WBD, but you’re just not big enough for the NBA, and it looks like you don’t have the cash.

“For example, to ensure the financial security of billions of dollars of rights fee payments over the deal’s 11-year term, Amazon agreed, inter alia, to maintain an escrow account from which rights fees will automatically be paid to the NBA as they become due,” the supporting memorandum of law from the league’s Sullivan & Cromwell lawyers reads. “TBS eliminated this protection by giving itself the option to instead provide the NBA with syndicated letters of credit that the NBA can access only if TBS’s payments are late. That is not even close to the same thing.”

That, um... doesn't instill confidence. If WBD is running out of liquid assets to the point where they can't put payments in escrow and are trying to score rights deals on credit, then their situation may be way worse than it seemed.
