Josh Mann Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Jim Harbaugh doesn't get the ruling he wants, so of course the ruling is "biased"http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9642601/jim-harbaugh-san-francisco-49ers-calls-nfl-ruling-read-option-plays-flawed-bit-biasedChrist I hate Jim HarbaughHad he used the word "hater" it would have been Douchebag Bingo. 1
Brian Fowler Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Wait, the NFL interpreted the rules in a way that doesn't protect quarterbacks? What strange new world is this?
Death From Above Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Hopefully one where we acknowledge that the only time they *need* extra protection is when they are in the act of throwing, which is how it should be. Can't have guys getting fucked in the knee while they throw that's fair, but if you run around then you should be like any other player.
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Harbaugh is the fourth best QB in Colts history. Almost got the team to a Super Bowl. I have nothing bad to say about the man.
Shadow Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 What is on the gameday menu for you folks tomorrow? Fire up the grill or just keep it simple with snacks? If you catch someone you invited over double dipping their snack how do you handle it?
The Man Known as Dan Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 What is on the gameday menu for you folks tomorrow? Fire up the grill or just keep it simple with snacks? If you catch someone you invited over double dipping their snack how do you handle it?Be at work from 7 to 3:30, missing the Bears game, then see what the Rams are capable of.
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Double dipping is not to be tolerated. Throw them out of your house immediately. Nasty mess, they can't do that! If they think they will, they should ask for an individual serving bowl/plate.
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 If the Packers don't find a defense... it won't matter.
elizium Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 What is the def-ense you speak of? Sounds exotic.
Super Ape Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 MONDAY: Come home from work, pick the kiddo up from daycare, feed her, put her to bed, start hitting the Hop Devils while the Birds get mopped up by a backup QB and I decide whether to hope for the best or go into full-on LOL IGGLES schadenfreude.
Death From Above Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 What is the def-ense you speak of? Sounds exotic. The idiots they put out there when Aaron Rodgers isn't busy being Ryu from Street Fighter and annihilating everything.
Tabe Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Steak on the grill for me. Jim Harbaugh was the QB fo a great Michigan team so he gets a lot of leeway from me but he's been a straight up dickhead since getting to the NFL.
Craig H Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 What is on the gameday menu for you folks tomorrow? Fire up the grill or just keep it simple with snacks? If you catch someone you invited over double dipping their snack how do you handle it? Two racks of ribs. Putting the dry rub on the ribs at around noon, throw them on the grill at about 2, let them cook on indirect low heat for around 2 hours. Make some cornbread, cook up some green beans from the garden, and drink up the last of my stock of Oberon. Should be good.
johnnyboy Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 We traditionally have American fayre whilst watching the first game of the season. Shamefully, I haven't even looked at the late games as I've zeroed in on the Patriots game. Going to whack the NFLN build-up on as soon as the F1 finishes. Glorious day!
Brian Fowler Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Like Tabe, I can't hate him, no matter how much he wants me to. Good coach though.
MikeRose Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Harbaugh is the fourth best QB in Colts history. Almost got the team to a Super Bowl. I have nothing bad to say about the man. Let's see....Peyton, Johnny U, Bert Jones, Majik....hmm, 4th best? Is he better than Jeff George?
muhammedboehm Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 So let me see if I understand this Harbaugh wants the NFL to declare that the QB running a read option be ruled as defenseless. Are running backs taking a hand off declared defenseless per NFL rules?
Brisco Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 He is just asking for the NFL to pull out the flags for flag football.
Pete Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I'm excited for football! I'm looking forward to the season opener and Geno proving the naysayers wrong, every last one of 'em! 1
Brisco Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Giants and Dallas tonight, this thread is going to be an awesome follow.
jaedmc Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Poor Mark Sanchez. Sounds like they may have to amputate.
Ryan Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 What a scoop! A dislocated shoulder. Well, no shit.
Ryan Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Those Bears fans on the plane are basically what some Packers fans are like, minus the accent.
The Man Known as Dan Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 What? Sanchez is hurt? OH NO, WHAT ABOUT MY FANTASY TEAM!
