Greggulator
The shot to send this into 4OTwas from beyond half court. Absolutely insane.
SorceressKnight
So far, only one #1 seed has won their conference tournament. On the plus side, all the mid-majors taking up NIT auto-bids should make the CBI and CIT big-ticket tourneys this year- so there's that...
sabremike
Regardless if they pull it off the Huskies are in the tourney now no?
Dolfan in NYC
Here's the video: http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/uconn-forces-fourth-overtime-with-three-quarter-court-b-1764386879 And the Huskies did pull it off, in quadruple OT by 7, where everyone was apparently too tired to play D. Brian Fowler
That's a big win for Michigan earlier. Beating a really good team should help them get off the bubble.

Zimbra
Wayne Selden just crushed Ish Wainwright's soul. Otherwise this game has been the drizzling shits.
Josh Mann
Both teams played hard. Miami is likely now either the lowest 3 seed or the highest 4 seed.
hammerva
Buddy Heild was dominated the entire game by Press Virginia but if there was 1.9 seconds instead of 1.8 they would crushed the Mountaineer dreams again
hammerva
If they are going to have Barkley use the touch screen the entire show, I will probably found out where WVU goes sometime around June.

Pete
Monmouth beat UCLA, USC, Georgetown AND Notre Dame and it all came to nothing. Seriously, why even put together a schedule like that if you don't get rewarded for doing what you had to do?

The Man Known as Dan
So, they set put Texas A&M as a 3 seed, because they wanted them vs. Texas and Oklahoma, and they put Indiana at a 5 in spite of them winning the Big 10 by 2 games because they wanted them vs. Kentucky in round 2. Any "well they don't put teams at different seeds for matchups" argument they have to me is now bullshit.
Pete
Not enough money from their fans traveling. Well, hosing them out of a bid will certainly prove their fans don't travel. That'll learn 'em!
hammerva
Everyone keeps saying that the main reason Monmouth didn't make it was because they had 2 losses to horrible teams. I mean bottom 15% horrible teams. Since the tourny is made up of top 68 (or about 63 of them) why is this relevant? I mean plenty of teams who made the tournament lost to teams in November and December that didn't count as NCAA teams.

To that I say: Syracuse lost to St Johns, who were possibly the worst team in the history of the Big East, who lost at home to a D3 team and who got slaughtered at home by Incarnate Word. Niners Fan in CT
Duke at a 4 is bullshit. They've been awful all year. Fuck Coach K. Also, UCONN getting a 9 is fucking bullshit. Putting two premier teams (the other being Kansas) against one another in round two is horrible. Fuck the NCAA.
Greggulator
A Villanova vs. Temple second round matchup will be absolutely glorious and make for one of the most fun nights in Philly sports history depending on what bar you pick. I'm all in on The Hall. I grew up just a few miles from the campus in The Oranges. I was an obsessive fan when I was a kid and went to almost every home game Terry Dehere's senior year. I would have gone to Seton for college if I chose to stay home.
