Dolfan in NYC Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 The regular season starts in 3 days with Seattle hosting Green Bay. (There's something insanely appropriate about "I Hate Myself For Loving You" being the theme song)
Raziel Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Doesn't Carrie Underwood sing it now anyway?
Dolfan in NYC Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 The correct answer is "Who cares" 3
ebbie Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 That's Faith Hill. Where did she come from? Hasn't had a hit since Breathe...
Lawful Metal Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Not sure if I should be rooting for Fitzmagic, Malletmania or Tom "Macho Madness" Savage to be QB. Hopefully Watt and Clowney just break RGIII like a wishbone and we win 2-0 or something. (I think Watt and Clowney breaking RGIII like a wishbone is a thing that could happen) 1

ivpvideos Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 No replacement refs to save the Seahawks on Thursday. NOT THIS TIME. #GOPACKGO 2
cubbymark Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 That's Faith Hill. Where did she come from? Hasn't had a hit since Breathe... I beg to differ: the boots she would wear for the Sunday Night Football montage were her last big hit. 1
Sammy Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 The correct answer is "Who cares" I do! Needless glitz is a necessary companion to cynical patriotism that makes up the hilarity of the modern NFL. I love the entire shit show.
RIPPA Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Raiders name Derek Carr Week 1 starter Rams claim Case Keenam off of waivers
Kevin Wilson Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Schaub's epic fall continues. Wonder what happened to him? I mean for five straight years he had a QB rating of over 90, had over 4K yards three times.... then last year he sucked and this year can't even beat out a rookie.
RIPPA Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Well Schaub had been battling a hurt elbow so it is possible they also didn't think he was healthy enough to go Week 1
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I don't root for the Packers often but when I do it's when they're playing son of a bitching Seattle. 2
E.J. Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Carr gets slept on at the draft, gets to start on week 1, and avenges his brother's death at the hands of Matt Schaub? I'm liking this dude's career already. 1
elizium Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I don't root for the Packers often but when I do it's when they're playing son of a bitching Seattle. Hate is a perfectly acceptable reason to bandwagon for a week. Carr gets slept on at the draft, gets to start on week 1, and avenges his brother's death at the hands of Matt Schaub? I'm liking this dude's career already. I'm pretty sure David died at the hands of his own offensive line. 1

I mean for five straight years he had a QB rating of over 90, had over 4K yards three times.... then last year he sucked and this year can't even beat out a rookie. As the DVDVR's resident (and only) Texans fan, three things: 1) Never really recovered from the lisfranc foot injury, which really hurt his already deficient mobility and made him gun shy about getting hit. 2) Dead arm. Back to back overtime games in less than 5 days vs. (Jacksonville and Detroit on Thanksgiving) where he threw 60+ passes both times to complete epic comebacks seems to have killed his arm -- anything over 20 yards was impossible to throw for him. 3 ) Kubiak's ultra predictable play calling that led to all the pick sixes last year destroyed his confidence. I think that's a pretty decent way to destroy a decent QB. And, let's face it, Schaub was only decent at best.
J.T. Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Steelers were eh in the pre-season and our first game of the year is against the Ravens. I hate football already.
Dolfan in NYC Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Jim Irsay pleads guilty to one misdemeanor. Remember kids, if you're going to drive while drunk and/or high as fuck..... be sure to be extremely rich. 5
supremebve Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Jim Irsay pleads guilty to one misdemeanor. Remember kids, if you're going to drive while drunk and/or high as fuck..... be sure to be extremely rich. Drinking and driving is the least of the story, he had a bunch of drugs and $29K in a laudry bag. That is basically guaranteed federal prison time for just about everybody, he gets to plead guilty to one misdemeanor.
Death From Above Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 My favourite Mario Balotelli story is that once he was driving in London and got pulled over with five thousand pounds in his wallet. The cop asks him why do you have so much money on you? Balotelli just stares at him and answers, "I'm rich".

JRGoldman Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 What a complete and total fucking joke. Can we make Adam Silver the commissioner of all sports?
