BrianS81177
ANYWAY..... Any word on when the interview with HHH will be up for download? I don't have the network currently.

Burgundy LaRue
One thing to keep in mind is timing. Chyna was doing porn until recently and started doing it when she was still recognized most for being a pro wrestler. I think it was a selling point for her movies. Tyson went to prison as his popularity was on the wane, having lost to Buster Douglas. Also keep in mind that a number of people think Tyson didn't commit rape. We know Chyna did porn. Tyson gets the benefit of having nearly two decades between his prison stint and now--time where he's become something of a sympathetic figue and hasn't done anything bad since, other than biting Holyfield's ear. In time, people tend to forgive if you rebuild yourself. It's hypocritical, because Chyna only hurt herself with her porn career. It's not illegal, whereas rape certainly is. Now if you want to get into the cultural politics of women being shamed for engaging in carnal acts, that's another kettle of fish. And I wouldn't disagree. But for all their hypocrisy, WWE is hardly the first entity to display that sort of behavior. We all know porn isn't the only reason for Chyna's exclusion into the HOF. It's part of the story, and it's a real sticking point, but not the entire saga. But we can hardly expect HHH to get into that. I don't expect the guy to say "Gee--I don't really care, but my wife and her parents would pitch a fit for any number of reasons." HHH is right--it's complicated. It's not fair. But it is complicated. Chyna isn't going in anytime soon, if ever. There's just too much water under the bridge. It's not fair to her, with the murderers, thieves, rapists, con artists, drug addicts, and otherwise depraved creatures that have returned/stayed in Vince's favor. But her position with the WWE isn't going to change for the forseeable future. It stinks. But that's how it's going to be.
Curt McGirt
That should be the last word on this topic, period.
Cristobal
Can I take issue with BLR kinda getting the "water under the bridge" idiom backwards? I mean, she got everything else right, but that's unforgivable...
bink_winkleman
I get and agree with the sexism angle. My point with Chyna is more about the press they'd get and the social media and Google Images problem she presents. And "never" was too harsh. Cristobal
The bigger worry as far as the HoF goes is if someone makes "butt stuff" the line that shall not be crossed, because then we can't have Regal go in.
MonteCarl
I think HHH's main point wasn't just that she did/does porn. I believe his main point was about kids looking her up after she's inducted. There will be a lot of kids who have never heard of Chyna. There are lot of kids who haven't heard of many HoF inductees. When somebody new is inducted, they get a sweet video package and kids who have never heard of this person before will go to Google to look them up and see what they're about. If an 8 year old kid goes and Google's Chyna, what is he going to find? If an 8 year old kid goes and Google's Mike Tyson what will he find? Very different things between the two of them. There will be no images or video of Mike Tyson's crime, just a bunch of stuff of him being a badass boxer. Obviously a lot more than that of Chyna. And I believe THAT was what his main point was about her not being inducted. Not just the fact that she did porn, but that kids will go and look up her name and easily find it online, and that then looks bad on them as a publicly traded company. That's how I took it, anyway.
The Nature Boy
Since Buff Bagwell did softcorn porn and was a male prostitute, is he now ineligible for the HOF? He had a memorable WWE run, no?
Ziggy
Like I said before, what about Pat Patterson and the scandal he was in. HOF and greatest finish guy of all time right?
Niners Fan in CT
Anal isn't classy??? Do you know what "anal" is spelled backwards? Very classy. Oh right...we've been over this... So I'd like to compile a list of female performers who are more deserving of a hall of fame spot than Chyna. I think you have to say Sable and Elizabeth. Anyone else? The Nature Boy
I want to know how Triple H was attracted to pre-plastic surgery Chyna. Going from THAT to Stephanie McMahon in just 3 short years is a hell of an accomplishment.

Burgundy LaRue
By all accounts, Chyna is smart and charming when she's in a good emotional place. It really is too bad. Most celebs usually find themselves in a place where they can rebuild their public persona and be 'redeemed' according to us unwashed masses. If the celeb's head is screwed on anywhere near right, they make good on that chance. However, it doesn't look like Chyna will be afforded that. The Nature Boy
I can see where the whole HHH thing would've fucked with her head though. She went from being Intercontinental Champion, Women's Champion and one of the most heavily featured performers in the company to being completely out almost overnight. People forget how pushed Chyna was in 1999-2000 but she really was. She also basically got a lot of severely body altering surgeries in order to achieve that push. It was all just taken away overnight because her boyfriend happened to cheat on her with the boss's daughter. Wrestling has a way of fucking with people in general but what Chyna went through is just mind-blowing. On a personal level, I really do feel sorry for her.
Victator
She was still getting pushed in 2001, she decided to play hardball on her contract after WCW croaked.
Cobra Commander
Chyna went from having enough power to help get the Kat fired (and indirectly boot Lawler out of the WWE) to being gone because she apparently didn't understand leverage
username
It is worth noting that people such as Scott Hall and Jake Roberts were sorta not going to go into the WWE Hall when they were still clearly struggling with alcohol and perhaps drugs, it was only when DDP got them presentable that WWE took the opportunity to sneak them both in while they had everything together. I haven't really seen Chyna in a while but last I saw she was a complete mess in this regard and I'm not sure she's really trustworthy to hit a certain date while being in "condition" to perform. The porn stuff is probably a stumbling block as well, but even if she never did all that and never dated HHH she'd still have troubles getting into the Hall because of this, unless she cleaned up when no one was paying attention. Cristobal
Grain of salt, but Jericho's description of her in either his first or second book suggested her head wasn't screwed on all that tightly to begin with.
Victator
I do feel bad for her, the break up, fame, drugs and probably existing mental illness did a number on her. Professionally she never really helped anyone. Her refusing to put over or sell for any of the other women is a bad mark for her. When a lot of men had no problem putting her over. Brian Fowler
I vaguely recall stories of abuse when she was a child as well, which probably doesn't help anything.

The Nature Boy
If Chyna could get her life in order, I would say that she definitely belongs in the Hall of Fame. First female Intercontinental Champion has to mean SOMETHING in the grand scheme of things.
