It's always so weird to me that the main guy behind Polyphonic Spree is the singer from Tripping Daisy...

Nirvana really was a spectacular band, with two records in a row that were front to back nearly perfect.

Got a good laugh watching MTV's "The Year in Rock: 1993" on Youtube when they get to the section about concert business and they highlight the "high" ticket prices of $75 for Madonna's "Girly" tour.

Edit: Also really enjoyed seeing Dave Mustaine rocking the same moustahce HHH was rocking during his reign of terror.

a few months ago i paid ~$200 for a two day concert lineup. It included a meet and greet/autograph session, 2 different CDs, and some other goodies. I thought this was a lot, but since it was a group i really wanted to see (haven't toured in YEARS) and the extra free stuff, i went for it. had a great time.

so, i heard that Kendrick Lamar was doing a tour and had to see the prices. $600 for floor tickets. at Soldier Field, so it's not like there was anything exclusive or limited about this. fuck that.

i fucking wish $75 was still unbelievable pricing.

Who was it? That's honestly an amazing price for what you got. I was curious and went to the inflation calculator. $75 back then is in the $165 range now.

I'm sure Kendrick would be fun but not at those prices. I went to Soldier Field when Kanye did his Donda premier there and it was cool seeing a show there.

I cringe every time I go downtown and see $50+ for event parking.

And by downtown I'm referring to Nashville.

Hell, back in the day you could get a ticket and a shirt for that price.

Hey, you kids, get off my lawn!!

I still remember when $5 was high for a 7" record and that was only a mere 25 or so years ago. They're bleeding us out quick, until we die in the streets.

But, it's 180 gram vinyl.

I prefer it when bands end rather than replacing the lead singers and carrying on.

What percentage of a band can leave before you can call it the same band is up there with the how many boards you can replace on a boat before its a new boat.

Are the Isley Brothers still the Isley Brothers when they are a band members are exclusively Isley Brothers despite only one of them is an original Isley Brother?

It very much depends on how essential certain members of the band are to the band.

In that case, the original Isley Brothers are less Isley Brothers than the current Isley Brothers despite the fact that there were more Isley Brothers in the former Isley Brothers than the current Isley Brothers.

This is especially hilarious to me considering how much rehab people love that horse shit

I had the misfortune of seeing the MGK & Jelly Roll song, "Lonely Road", and that was certainly a video that was produced.

I'm not the biggest John Denver fan, but it was rough.

And, yes, they do eat that born again, and I'm not talking Black Sabbath, shit like honey.

My music taste the last couple of days must think it's Halloween time again. Yesterday started with the Misfits, then moved on to Frankenstein's Drag Queens/Murderdolls. This morning i'm already on a Gravediggaz kick.

edit: and now that it's in my head, it's time for Rob Zombie.

A solution for a toddler who wants to push and pull out vinyl at eye level. He tried tape at first, but the kid ripped it right off in front of him 😄
