Curt McGirt Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Tom Petty hits are such a radio staple I would not be surprised if Rock the Bells is contractually obligated to play "Last Dance with Mary Jane" or one of the others. 1

odessasteps Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) The radio station where I’m eating just playing Let’s Hear It for the Boy, followed by Footloose. I did hear say someone say the country was set back 40 years this week. Guess this station took it to heart. update: Less than an hour later, they also placed the Flashdance theme by Irene Cara. If I wait long enough, will I hear Maniac? Edited November 9 by odessasteps 2

Curt McGirt Posted November 10 Posted November 10 https://judjud.bandcamp.com/album/no-tolerance-for-instruments Care for some parody acapella metalcore? Look where they say it when and where it was recorded
odessasteps Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Ive now heard You Give Love a Bad Name and American Pie two days in a row when eating lunch.
FireThunder Posted November 14 Posted November 14 From Zero comes out on Friday but another video was posted by Linkin Park today. If the four songs that have been released are any indication, this album is going to be a banger.
Shartnado Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Listened to the new The Cure album last night. The sound was amazing but there were only a couple of tracks that really resonated with me. Still, more than I expected.

I haven't gotten a chance to listen yet but the next few days are supposed to be suitably gloomy. The first single was good but didn't grab me. 1

Shartnado Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Ok, people who are into hip hop, can you name an 80's or 90's rap star whose general later material is lame but has TWO better bad ass tracks than LL Cool J's Deepest Bluest (Shark's Fin) and It's Time for War? I'll wait!
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I'd have to go back and check but I'm pretty sure Ice Cube has a late career song that goes in. That's going to be my project for Monday I think.

AaronMLuke Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Joey and myself went to see Iron Maiden in San Antonio this past Sunday as tourists. I can not recommend them , great and welcoming fans. Stellar show. As a Maiden newbie standout songs were The Prisoner , May I play with madness and Wasted Years . Great show. 3
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted November 19 Posted November 19 https://www.stereogum.com/2288062/guided-by-voices-announce-41st-album-universe-room/music/ New GBV album coming in February. According to Pollard, he's boiled the songs down to the essentials.

odessasteps Posted November 20 Posted November 20 My most played song on YouTube this year was … Number one band was unsurprisingly Boney M. 1

Unfortunately, my music listening is spread across multiple devices, none of which track play count (except iTunes on my home computer, but i've had to upgrade PCs twice this year, so even that is out the window). i couldn't even fathom a guess.
odessasteps Posted November 20 Posted November 20 What’s funny is I prob hadn’t listened to it in months. But it was in most of my YouTube generated playlists that I just click on when I play stuff on the laptop/console.
Lawful Metal Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Are we doing the "It's 2024 and I will listen to your favorite album and review it" kinda deal? 2
