Victator Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 No Scott is a multifaceted character. He is a guy who is cool on the outside and a raging inferno on the inside. He lost his parents and brother at a very young age and grew up in an Orphanage. Which I think gave him trust issues. He also has the burden of living with a power than can kill someone if he sneezes at the wrong time. That is a huge burden to carry, for a relatively young man. That is without getting into the retcons that have been piled on. . 1
Brian Fowler Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Someone should have told anyone writing the X-Men in the 90's that. Because none of that shows up anywhere in the comic book.
Gonzalez Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 He also has the burden of living with a power than can kill someone if he sneezes at the wrong time. Unless of course he wore Macho Man style ruby lens goggles then it wouldn't be a problem. But no, the burden of living with a power that fucks up his fashion sense is too much.
Victator Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Man is there anything you are not stupid about?
JMFabiano Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I've been to a couple movies in the theater recently and both had a trailer for the new Wolverine movie. Wasn't there already a movie just about Wolverine? And yes with a quick google search I see that there was. So how is this one different? No Deadpool to f*** up?
tigertooth Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Deep thought: I'm not much of a gore-hound, but still when watching The Wolverine, I wanted to see more blood. I just realized why that is. It's not because of the blood per se. It's that in order to avoid the blood, you had to shoot the fight sequences in a goofy sleight-of-hand way. You were always seeing the back of someone who just got slashed in their front. It's hard to shoot a good fight scenes when you can't really show the fighting. Another point: I really think the film could have done a better job with the reveal that Wolverine's healing factor was compromised. That should have been a big deal for Logan, but I felt there was never a big memorable WTF moment for him.
The Natural Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 I really like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spidey suit. 1
Antacular Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I'm late to the party, but just saw The Wolverine, and I'll be honest, I have no idea what all the praise is about. It was just as bad as Origins (Of course, I don't think Origins was the worst comic book movie to ever grace the screen, just not a good film). The "twist" at the end was about as predictable and unoriginal as it gets. And the fact that they wasted the removal of Wolvie's adamantium on a throwaway villain, instead of Magneto, was a terrible decision. Seeing "Trask" on the TV screen was best part of the entire movie.
TheVileOne Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Well his adamantium didn't get removed. He just lost the claws. The rest of it is still there as far as we know.
Victator Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Still the best Cyclops moment ever For being the bigger man and not punching a hole thru Wolverine's chest with ease?
Gonzalez Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Dude, this was the cartoon. Unless he was made of Jello pudding like Mr. Sinister, there was no way he'd cause any real damage to Wolverine. Most likely the blast would have just exposed his coco butter smuttered abs.
Victator Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 He could send him thru a couple walls. But he is the bigger person. A true leader knowing that the ones under him needed to deal with the death of a friend.
The Natural Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 Your first trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past: Hopefully The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer be coming out and I'll put that here as well.
Eivion Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 It doesn't excite me like The Wolverine trailer did, but it looks interesting and decent enough. It almost looks like there are more than two timelines being juggled.
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Three no? Past, present, and fucked up future?
Craig H Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 It doesn't excite me like The Wolverine trailer did, but it looks interesting and decent enough. It almost looks like there are more than two timelines being juggled. There are.
TheVileOne Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 I'm confused about Wolverine changing the past. Is he essentially going to prevent all the other X-Men movies from happening?
EVA Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Also...was...was that Apocalypse's tomb?I think if he was in this, we would have heard by now. Would be awesome though. It seems absurd that, with the X-Men's deep bench of villains. we made it all the way to FIRST CLASS before getting another major supervillain besides Magneto.
Clayton Jones Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 That trailer looks pretty damn awesome to me. I like that it's mostly character based with very little action. It gives me some hope that they're focusing on getting the multiple timeline storyline right first and foremost. 1

Pretty sure there was an article on BC from earlier in the year that implied he might be in.
