Control
I went with the "don't look up anything" strategy. It's been equally as unsuccessful as the "do some research" strategy, but it doesn't take as long.

RIPPA
I went with the "don't look up anything" strategy. It's been equally as unsuccessful as the "do some research" strategy, but it doesn't take as long. Amazing Spiderman and Neighbors appear to be the only things that already have a RT ranking - I don't know why I looked but I did. This year I tried the strategy of picking the terrible movies and ordering them correctly on the bottom half of my ballot instead of getting the Top 15. Of course - then I spent 20 minutes trying to decide if Transformers, Hercules or the Purge would have the worst RT score... so that was just as much stress
The Natural
Neighbors being at 100% right now is totally going to bone me. I so wish I hadn't seen that I thought I had NeighboUrs on mine but turns out I left it. I went with the "don't look up anything" strategy. It's been equally as unsuccessful as the "do some research" strategy, but it doesn't take as long. I also went went with the "don't do homework" method this year rather than the "do research" one. Like you, neither has worked in the past!

S.K.o.S.
Last year when I unofficially finished second, I was taking past movies that seemed similar to the current crop and basing it on how those did. I also had a general rule that August movies do poorly (but this year it seems like most of what I'd want to see is in August).

Chaos
I am going to try and submit something tomorrow. This year is tough because I have no confidence in anything being a big hit or being critically loved. For example, Sin City could be as strong of a film as the first one critically or it'll completely bomb critically. Ditto Apes. I am surprised that people are rating Spider-man so high. I know 3-D factors into it, but I don't remember the first one being a major commercial success.
Niners Fan in CT
I found it very interesting that you totally ignored How to Train Your Dragon 2 on both of your lists Yeah - I'm sure it's going to make a ton but in my head I was thinking "okay, I'm confident in comparing and ranking the action/adventure movies and the comedies but I'm not great with animated/family" so I thought it'd be better to leave it alone. J.T.
I will have tinker a ballot together just to boost up the prize offerings even though I am extremely intimidated by the lack of buzz about anything coming out. I'm sure I would've had Cap 2 as my third or fourth pick but America will give the Dinobot joint a license to print money.
