I just went on the site and it's technically on sale in 9 hours or so.  If there's my size available I'll likely get it but if not then that's all good with me too.  But anything to honor Brodie and go to a worthwhile charity just feels so very right.

EDIT:  Aaaaaaand I just ordered it.  Even if I only wear it to wrestling shows I feel it's a worthwhile purchase.

I wouldn't discount Swerve Strickland vs. Bryan Danielson but it's more likely to be:

Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness.

Or...

I still think Will Ospreay is overrated and his matches would be better with less is more. Stormbreaker is shit. There are things I do like though:

  • The Hidden Blade the most. That's a great move.
  • Elevation, his entrance music.
  • The way Will's paid tribute to Hayabusa with Hayabusa themed gear which he sold last year in Japan with proceeds going to Hayabusa's family and at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024.

It appears as though Stefanie Vaquer has signed with WWE. This is based off of tweets that she was weighing offers from WWE and AEW, followed by a tweet from CMLL noting that she has been immediately removed from their upcoming events and roster.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but seemed inevitable with Roosh on the roster. He who took part in rallying the release of a man who attempted to murder her.

The fact that rush is still employed after that (and any others involved) isn’t a great look for AEW cause it’s really fucked up

People acting like this is a big deal for AEW are certainly not saying that in good faith. Vaquer is really good, I like her a lot but so far this year AEW has already added Ospreay, Okada, and Mone all of which no doubt cost a lot of money (and Ricochet coming soon) and require a lot of TV time. I don't know if Vaquer was interested in signing with AEW or not, and I'm happy she got a chance to sign with WWE if that was her goal, but it really doesn't change what AEW needs to do (focus on making compelling TV with the deep roster they have).

I've never agreed with this take. I don't agree with Rush of course, but people defending their friends even when they do shitty things isn't new and I don't think should make someone unable to work at their chosen employer. Its just friends of his not being able to accept what he did. As cubsfan said at the time which is the take I am closer to agreeing to:

The #JusticiaParaCuatrero campaign has been nonsense that hasn’t helped Cuatrero and seemed to be specifically the sort of harassment the judge cited as a reason to keep Cuatrero in jail awaiting trial. Yelling at those same supporters on social also isn’t going to actually help anyone. It’s very hard to be patient, especially when the people involved have already had to be patient a lot longer than should’ve been asked, but that’s all there is to do. This behavior is one of the reasons I’ve been extremely reluctant to discuss this story on Twitter; I definitely believe Cuatrero’s side is in the wrong and handling this situation in a self-destructive fashion and also trying to be understanding of them struggling to process a difficult situation. Few want to try to understand why someone else is doing what they’re doing. It’s easier just to treat it like a sporting event and start yelling about how Team Green or Team Yellow is the better one, and that’s what almost any discussion of a complex subject on Twitter turns into.

So while yea, Rush is wrong and regardless how he feels he should keep it to himself for PR purposes (which he has since then as far as I know), to say AEW should fire him for it isn't a stance I can get behind since he didn't commit any crimes himself.

She looked great at Forbidden Door and WWE almost immediately going after her now when she's been around and had buzz for a while does feel like a shot at AEW/CMLL/NJPW......but ya know, that's what happens in a wrestling war when people aren't locked down under contract

She's super talented, looks great.....why isn't she a good fit for WWE?  They're going to push her anyways just because they're petty

This really isn't the right thread for it, beyond the note of course that she didn't sign with AEW since there was some uncertainty a few days ago on what she'd do.
