Samantha Irvin got booed for thanking the fans and wishing them safe travels home. And as the fans were leaving, they were chanting CM CUNT.

Scotland is All Elite.

What reasoning did they give for Austin losing at WM13? Because I feel they should have applied the same logic when Cody "passed out".

That wasn't an I Quit match, that was a submission match. Shamrock said that Austin passing out was a technical submission.

When the adrenaline wears off, wouldn't be surprised if Damien Priest has to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship. Hope I'm wrong.

I don't know if he was just guessing or had a brief talk with Priest, but CM Punk said after the show that he thought Priest had a torn hamstring. Which does seem possible, I kept thinking he hurt his ankle but he could have torn something else with the sudden jerk of the ankle getting caught. I also hope whatever it is, its not serious enough he has to vacate but definitely a concern.

Ah, right. I forgot that wasn't an I Quit match. Thanks!

Even so, WWE's insistence on having I Quit matches end due to fear, rather than due to pain, is pretty ass-backwards. It's supposed to be a hurt business, not a scared business.

Terry Funk said I Quit in 1989 because he could feel his leg breaking. That was a stronger finish than a guy (who has spent the last 20 minutes getting hit with things) being afraid of getting hit with a thing. And then getting hit by the thing anyway.

I thought WWE would do a better job than AEW making Jade Cargill look like an attraction while hiding her shortcomings, but nope. it feels like time is running out on the Jade experiment.

I dob’t really understand their approach. Cargill is green and not particularly good in the ring, but she has an aura and was already an attraction when they signed her. She probably needs to be in NXT for a good long while, but she was already too big a name when they signed her for that to happen.  But, they really haven’t done much with her.  Being in a tag team with Bianca only highlights that Bianca is a much better worker.  And women’s tag teams are ‘t really a big deal, as highlighted by the Unholy Union basically going straight from catering to tag team champs.

If you aren’t going to present Jade as something special - feature her in squash matches until she hopefully improves - why not send her to NXT?  Let her dominate the women’s division and get her reps in down there.

It seems like they’ve gone away from the things Jade does do well instead of playing them up.  Odd approach, unless they've already soured on her.

Or about to get your eye poked out with a wooden chair shard.

I swear to God, Magnum/Tully became the standard ending for this kind of match. I understand, because it was amazing at the time. But they should really come up with something else.

I don't watch WWE and have only heard summaries about this show on pods, but god damn, did they really book every match in such a way to make sure nobody got over and nobody went under?  Like everyone who didn't win could still leave their match with a conceivable claim that they should have won if not for x, y, or z?  That is the most chickenshit booking imaginable and I feel like the only reason it works is because of the devaluing of their events in general, being on a $20 per year streamer instead of having to actually draw PPVs to stay in business.  Fuck, I am old and this shit is not pro wrestling.

Old: Book angles and storylines, build wrestlers up, have a program that pays off in a satisfying way on PPV

New: Book toward mOmEnTs, which are more important than finishes, keep everyone strong

They actually missed Alba slipping on her dive to the floor in the triple threat tag. The ropes did seem to be a problem all night.

I disagree, most promotions didn't do convincing, story-ending finishes unless either someone was finishing up and going to another territory, they were being repackaged, or they were being moved down the card. Memphis ran for 20 years on a heel of the month finding a way to cheat Jerry Lawler out of the title, but Lawler would win it back somehow. Even the Magnum/Tully I Quit match referenced earlier in thread had Tully complaining for months afterward that he didn't really lose because he never actually said "I quit".

I thought everyone was complaining more about the ropes than any person having issues. Although I did see a funny tweet with AJ getting hit with the chair and bumping with added WB style cartoon FX.

Vince left but the 50/50 booking didn’t.
