dogwelder Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Well this is something I was not expecting in 2024: Chick-Fil-A Hatches Plans For Streaming Service As Reality TV Comes Home To Roost Quote Chick-Fil-A is moving aggressively into the entertainment space with plans to launch a slate of originals for its own streaming platform. Deadline understands that the fast-food firm has been working with a number of major production companies, including some of the studios, to create family-friendly shows, particularly in the unscripted space. It is also in talks to license and acquire content.
driver Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I dropped Paramount+ last fall because nothing on it(or Showtime) caught my attention. I use Hulu, rarely use Disney+(burnt TF out on Marvel and Star Warts) and only watch ESPN during college football season...this could go without an issue. I do Peacock, Max and Prime on yearly deals and watch the shit out of all three. I keep Netflix because it was the first streaming service I ever had(started getting discs from them in '04). They've been hit and miss with me lately, but they've been around so long, it's like a longtime family pet that you can't come to terms on whether or not it's time...

driver Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I watched the first season but since I spend a ton of time in Michigan for work I spent way too much time trying to figure out where it was supposed to be set. After a while I figured that it was supposed to be either Flint or Saginaw. 1

I believe i was the last man on earth still getting DVDs in the mail. I used to get movies that I missed when they came out in the theatres that way
RIPPA Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Inside Out 2 has passed The Lion King (the 2019 remake version) in global box office. It is now 9th on the list all time
The Natural Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Conan O'Brien will host the 97th Academy Awards, 2nd March 2025. Great choice!
Stefanie Sparkleface Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Comcast is spinning off practically all of their cable networks (with the exception of Bravo, because that makes a lot of content for Peacock, which they're also keeping). That means CNBC, MSNBC, USA, Syfy, E, Golf Channel, and Oxygen are all moving to their own company (plus for some reason Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes). The new company is hilariously (and tentatively) titled SpinCo. It's like a 30 Rock skit.
Mister TV Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Lots of Black Friday deals for streaming sites, the best being a year of Peacock for $19.99 for both old and new subscribers. The Hulu/Disney+ bundle is $2.99 a month for a year, need to be a new subscriber, but all you have to do is use an email address you haven’t used for the site before.
