NFL 2014 - WEEK NINE

Dolfan in NYC

Tony Romo has 2 fractures in his back

It is possible he will still play on Sunday

To a layman, that sounds insane. . . .
Apparently it sounds insane to Romo also. He is now expected to sit. Brandon Weeden gets the start.

For everyone up in arms about Romo coming back in the game last week and all the cries of "leave Weeden in", I fear we will see today why it was thought a better idea to bring a hobbled Romo back into the game although I hope I'm wrong.

For the back injury, apparently it's not going to heal any time soon, it's just a matter of dealing with the pain.  Hopefully they sit him next week when they play Jacksonvill in London as well with the bye week after that.

So the Redskins team buses wrecked on the way to the game in Minnesota today.

Word from the Skins beat reporters - the cop car leading the police escort missed an exit which somehow lead to the 2nd team bus plowing into the back of the 1st team bus.

I know Pierre Garcon tweeted out a photo from the inside of one of the buses.

Everyone is fine and the team is now at the stadium

If that isn't a metaphor for the Redskins, I don't know what is. . .

Oh and Schefter is reporting that the decision to start RG3 today (in no surprise) came from management, not Jay Gruden

Today has the potential to be a very good day

This is my shocked face

Most people realize that Jay is more of a figurehead on the team.  I mean remember the #movement where Super Bob basically said he was calling the plays.   I understand this whole "we need to see what we got with RG3 with the season" but even if he doesn't show anything do you really think they are doing anything about it.   As long as super Bob and Synder are besties he has the team by the nuts

I do expect the Skins to win today with that defense against Bridgewater

The amount of Skins fans who think the story is complete BS and that Snyder and Bruce Allen have earned the benefit of the doubt are amazing.

Even more amazing are the amount of Skins fans who think that the local media should never ever report something negative about the team.

Per ESPN:

When Griffin began addressing the media in the locker room on Friday for the first time since dislocating his left ankle in Week 2, about 15 teammates began shouting. It was so loud and distracting, the franchise quarterback -- and reporters -- had to leave the locker room so Griffin could speak someplace where he could be heard. That's when the cheering got even more boisterous.

A source familiar with the incident told ESPN's Britt McHenry that Griffin has "alienated himself" from the locker room.

Yep.

Damn look at that snow in Foxboro.   Even god is tired of the Brady vs Manning hype   :o

Good thing Manning is a dome QB. ;)

I know he plays in Denver, but growing up in Denver, you never knew what kind of weather you were gonna get.

Sucks to fly all the way to London to get sent him hours later. Dumb ass.

And YAY! I get the Dolphins game instead of listening to all the verbal cocksucking that will be taking place in Manning/Brady game. Tho, I know Dolphins are gonna piss me off in some way. <_<
