RIPPA Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Do they not release trailers for movies anymore? I have been waiting for a "decent" one and it seems like nothing has come out in days. Fine - I found a couple but now I have to find a computer that doesn't hate me
Dolfan in NYC Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I mean, I don't know about decent, but this looks hilariously stupid fun: FIGHT OR FLIGHT Starring Josh Harnett Premieres in February
Andrew POE! Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) Because I like strange art films now. This trailer was released on New Year's Day. Edited January 2 by Andrew POE! 1
RIPPA Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 Second trailer for Flight Risk A reminder that this a Mel Gibson directed movie with Mark Wahlberg having the hairline of a board poster 5
Mister TV Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Of the upcoming action movies in planes, I’ll go with the Josh Hartnett one. 1

Curt McGirt Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Quote Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly set to portray the stunt performer Evel Knievel in a new film from director Damien Chazelle. Titled "Evel Knievel on Tour," the film is set in 1974 and captures Knievel's attempt to jump across Idaho's Snake River on his motorcycle. Source: Production Weekly Well you can't say he won't nail the role since he already played it once (only the other guy was the actual stuntman)
(BP) Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I kind of want to double feature the 70s Evel biopics. I don’t remember a lot from the George Hamilton one other than it’s a, “Evel Knievel needs to think about his entire life before he makes a jump” story. The one where Knievel plays himself has one of the most unhinged casts in cinema history: Gene Kelley, Red Buttons, Dabney Coleman, Lauren Hutton, Leslie Nielsen, and Frank Gifford. 1

(BP) Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Unfortunately Eszterhas can’t adapt it himself since he turned into a sentient pile of cocaine in the mid 90s. 3
Curt McGirt Posted January 6 Posted January 6 (edited) I was gonna say, "who is gonna play Eszterhas?" This really needs to be a warts-and-all biopic. I want to see him guzzling from bottles of Jack and pulling 16-year olds. He was such a scumbag, and who cares about tarnishing his rep, I want some entertainment. EDIT: And we need to have someone to play Young Vince! Edited January 6 by Curt McGirt 1

I highly recommend watching the Rifftrax version of Viva Knievel! (1977), it helps the film go down a bit. And don't forget Marjoe Gortner and Cameron Mitchell are in the cast, as well. 1
Curt McGirt Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I caught most of The Toolbox Murders on one of the streaming horror channels last year and man, Cameron pulled off a hell of a monologue that saved a lot of that movie's bacon in the plot department. 1

There's are reasons he's in the RedletterMedia Hall Of Fame.
Casey Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Horizon Zero Dawn is getting a film adaptation. I’m assuming the Netflix TV series is dead. Helldivers is also being turned into a movie.

Sony's history of licensed property movies isn't good. 1

Saw it in the theater when it came out. I was seven and thought he was the coolest.

Sony's history of licensed property movies isn't good. PlayStation Productions has a decent track record. Moreso on the TV side, but I didn’t HATE Uncharted or Gran Turismo. There’s a possibility that Helldivers might not be a co-production with Columbia, unlike HZD.

I grew up in that era and had the Scramble Van, Rocket Cycle and the regular bike. That was before George Lucas and Kenner changed toy history. Only found out about the "real" Evel when I became an adult. I still marked out when I met him at a Harley Davidson dealership despite knowing the truth. Still a fan of the myth, not the man. Wish I could find a good copy of the 1974 TV Pilot with Sam Eliott as Evel. It's on YouTube, but the quality is what you'd expect.

Dolfan in NYC Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Mr. Boll, and whoever is producing this, *MAY* want to think about changing the name. Maybe. 1 3

Curt McGirt Posted January 7 Posted January 7 My guess is this ends up at the bottom of many a Natural list.
(BP) Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Hammer once getting as close to being Batman as a costume fitting and now being reduced to that rules. Hopefully the Uwe Boll vs Christopher Nolan boxing match that results from this won’t have too many buffering issues on Netflix. 1 5
