When the online wrestling community became more of a mainstream activity in the mid-to-late 90s, Amdur was there letting people know about all the results from MCW, MEWF, ECWA and more. Learned about guys like Quack, Crowbar, Simon Diamond, and the like through his reports. Think he even gave road reports from some of the promotions trying to launch in the Philly area after ECW's demise.

Also emailed me once while I was in college in DC to attend a Maryland indy show -- wasn't able to go, but seemed like a good guy.

Jeff was a mensch of the highest order. I saw he went into hospice on Facebook a few days ago, and sadly that seems to be the final time he posted anything. 😞 RIP.

Liger Rivera AKA Thicc Martel AKA Bat Manuel (Southern California indie guy/ Hoodslam regular) passed away last night. 1986-2024. RIP.

Saddened to hear about Liger Rivera.  I used to watch him a lot in Bart Kapitzke's AWS from like 2007-2009ish and often wondered what happened to him and what he was doing, I always thought he was pretty talented and connected with the crowd well.

Sandy Parker (former WWWA World Champion) passed away in June 2022 aged 77, but for some reason it went under the radar until 2 days ago. First ever Black Woman to hold a World title.

I immediately thought of him

1. slapping the ref because he couldn't slap the wrestlers after yelling "YOU RUIN ME!" at them for the fire fiasco at the Tokyo Dome

2. and then of Foley asking him for a bonus, him handing him a can of soda from the machine, and saying "Haha, here bonus."
