piranesi Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Irish dudes on Periscope starting to get agitated. Not a good sign for Conor.
piranesi Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Conor employing the German army strategy on the Eastern Front of WW2 in this fight of throwing a bunch of punches early that don't get it done and then slowly freezing to death. 1 3
piranesi Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Is it a moral victory to not get knocked out when the other guy doesn't feel like knocking you out? 2

Probably. Mayweather could have been done with this a long time ago. Only for the theatrics is it still going.
hammerva Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Mayweather is in complete control of the fight now. You have to give Conor a ton of credit for lasting this long but he is beyond gassed
piranesi Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 This is turning into Jake LaMotta vs. Sugar Ray Robinson.
SirSmUgly Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 This was kind of like the Mayweather/Hatton fight except that Floyd took the first four rounds off almost totally. Or what the fuck do I know, I'm not nearly a boxing expert. 1
Craig H Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 That was way better than I thought it would be. 1
Niners Fan in CT Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Conor did more than I thought he would but Floyd just waited and then picked him apart. 1

Niners Fan in CT Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 This was better than I thought it'd be. Floyd on the attack was fun.
Burgundy LaRue Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Conor wasn't bad, but it was obvious that Floyd was toying with him from the fourth round on.
hammerva Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I was wondering why Floyd was smiling and having fun on the stool after the 3rd round. Obviously we know why now. Boxing stamina is not the same as MMA stamina 1
Elsalvajeloco Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 Think about this: Conor McGregor a guy with ZERO pro boxing fights landed 30 more punches on Floyd than the second greatest fighter of the last generation Manny Pacquiao. 5

But how many more did he throw from rounds 4 to the end?
twiztor Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 but i hear that Mayweather was more composed....
piranesi Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 It's amazing he did that well, but at the same time, I mean, it was never going to matter how gifted or physically talented MacGregor might have been, the collective 1000 years of boxing experience of every fighter and trainer that has tried to figure out how to beat Mayweather hasn't been able to figure it out. Why would a guy just learning the sport be able to? Unless the secret answer turned out to be to scream and throw windmill punches at him from the opening bell and even Conor didn't have the balls to try that.
piranesi Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Is that Conor's soul taking the escape pod out of his nose? 2 3

I don't think that really matters considering Manny had a full 36 and landed an avg of less than 7 punches landed a round. Manny has like 70 pro boxing bouts.

Sounds like the fight and Conor's performance turned out better than expected. Well done, Conor.
