dogwelder
How much money do they need? That game can't be as cheap as Broken Age and Mighty Number Nine. The Kickstarter's asking for $2 million. Shenmue 3 by Ys Net
Raziel
I'll be fair though, Shenmue 3 and Final Fantasy VII Remake are the only things that have come close to touching that Minecraft AR Demo.
Big Fresh
Nope, Shenmue does nothing for me.
SirSmUgly
I assume this will be like Bloodstained, which is being partially funded by Deep Silver + that 5M from Kickstarter. We'll see Sony handle some of the publishing costs + whatever they get from the Kickstarter campaign.
Death From Above
Did they explain why a game that still has a loyal following after like a goddamn century in video game time is being funded via kickstarter? The whole thing is weird, but whatever. It's happening.
RandomAct
I am so fucking happy. I'm getting Kingdom Hearts 3 AND Shenmue 3. I don't deserve such good things. That was really all I wanted to hear out of E3.

Big Fresh
And Shenmue isn't gonna be a Playstation exclusive, right?

RandomAct
This is the only Kickstarter I have ever backed ever. It's almost to 200k already.
Big Fresh
Oh, well if Shenmue really doesn't come to X-Box One, then yeah, that is a big deal for them.
Raziel
The damn cutting to arena shots is making this unwatchable.
Kevin Wilson
I don't understand why they need kickstarter, they are just losing a cut. Since Sony is helping, why not just do something similar on their site but keep all the money? Shenmue fans would find it wherever they announced it was. Chaos
Shenmue is a game I wish I had gotten around to on the Dreamcast. Did they never port them elsewhere? I read that there was a plan to release an HD Collection at some point? You kind of need to release the other two games if you want to sell this. Big Fresh
Yeah. They saved the 2 games that interest me the most for last. Battlefront and Uncharted.

Zheroen
The official announcement of Shenmue III (they're at over $480,000 of the $2 million goal in under half an hour with 31 days to go, I'm pretty certain reaching the actual mark is a formality at this point) for me right now is like the Rapture. TheVileOne
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ysnet/shenmue-3 Before I wrote this post, the Kickstarter was at $495K. It's now at over $506K. It will hit the Kickstarter goal no problem and probably the stretch goals too.
