Leonidas
Just watched last stand, and they don't have much to retcon anyway. The cure was only temporary so rogue, magneto and mystique all get their powers back. Cyclops body was never found and you didn't see him die. Jean Grey and Xavier are too powerful to be dead, some force magic will bring them back to life. Jean Grey already resurrected herself from thin air once before. Will watch origins and first class tomorrow see if there's anything there.
Niners Fan in CT
Well, I mean... Professor X was never dead either.. I don't think Cyclops/Jean are in this though. Somehow.
Clayton Jones
OR maybe future Wolverine travels back under orders to destroy that whole timeline so that the original movies never exist at all? I dont share the love for X2 (it's fine, but not the best ever) so im happy to just retcon the whole thing out of existance in the movie world and start again. Hugh Jackman can stay though, they already established him in First Class so thats all good. I fail to see why that would even serve a purpose to make a movie out of. If that was what they wanted to do... wouldn't they just reboot the entire series and not try to tie it in whatsoever?
Niners Fan in CT
Origins has been forgotten and I'm not sad about that. I think it's likely that The Last Stand is completely wiped out here also though it'll be up to you whether you want to include it or not. So you'll have X-Men, X2, First Class and The Wolverine. That's not a bad group of films right there. Are they perfect? no, but as a series I would rank it above Iron Man. I would say X2 is right up there with the first Iron Man. It's just that Downey is so fucking good.. he makes you forget all the terrible shit.
Leonidas
Well the only thing Origins really set up is that Logan lost his memory 15 years before X1. So nothing to wipe there, although if they want to use Gambit again he has some back story from Origins and has met Wolverine already. So in DOFP Wolverine with Adamantium claws could go back in time and meet Wolverine with bone claws. Also Liev Schrieber was an awesome Sabretooth. If they wanted to make a Wolverine and Sabretooth fight in lots of different wars movie based on the opening montage of Origins I'd book tickets now. Same as if they made a Fassbender as Magneto hunting down Nazi's movie. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

Bustronaut
I'm loving the people who're pretending to not be racist about Michael B. Jordan being cast as Johnny Storm but getting upset because they are still looking at white actors for Sue Storm. On a positive note, I'm looking forward to the new FF movie, but then I've been a fan of all the prior FF movies, even Corman's.
Niners Fan in CT
If they cast Blade as some Twilight looking white guy with puffy hair... I'd definitely have a "WTF" face. It's overblown though. For most characters.. race is not really an issue. It's only an issue when it's part of their backstory.

Niners Fan in CT
On paper an additional 12 minutes doesn't sound like a big deal but we'll see.
Brian Fowler
Depending on how they are distributed throughout a film, 12 minutes can be quite a lot.
The Natural
As previously mentioned, the trailers for The Wolverine didn’t do much for me even though I’m a fan of Logan/Wolverine and I’m not tired of Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of the character. My Sister bought me The Wolverine on DVD yesterday and I enjoyed it. I think I still have a DVD copy of X-Men: Origins: Wolverine around bought as a gift. I’ve never fully seen the film but might so then I’ve watched all the X-Men films to date.

The Natural
I'll spoiler this poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Jeser Piedra was at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas today where he came across the first poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. On the poster are: Spider-Man, Electro, Rhino and even Green Goblin. Yes, the image is in low-resolution and not from the best angle, but that's Rhino on the left and Goblin in the middle, and even one of his face on Times Square video screen to the far right. The Rhino costume appears to the the mechanized suit that was used in the "Ultimatum Spider-Man" comic. Goblin is certainly "Green" but we can't be sure if it's Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) or his son Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) that has been transformed. Although we might be able to make a guess based on these spoilery storyboards. Credit: comicbookmovie.com Didn't expect to see the Green Goblin in this one. We don't know if it's Norman Osborn, or Harry Osborn. Going on body shape it's classic Green Goblin instead of Ultimate Green Goblin. That's what I wanted. This could be a busy film. EDIT. Antacular
Not sure how you make Classic Green Goblin work in more "realistic" comic book movie. I hate to say it, but I think Ultimate would come across much better. I'm also kind of down on them using Rhino and Electro as the main villains. I'm guessing we'll only be teased with a little Goblin action, saving that for 3. Side note: I wish they'd use the actual Spider-Man comics for the film titles. First one be Amazing, this one be Spectacular, third one Sensational, etc. etc. "Amazing Spider-Man TWO" and "Amazing Spider-Man THREE" is fucking weak.
